District Profile on Vector Borne Diseases,East Siang Pasighat(2017-18)
DISTRICT PROFILE ON VECTOR BORNE DISEASES,EAST SIANG PASIGHAT(2017-18) INTRODUCTION East Siang District is one of the endemic District for Malaria and other vector Borne diseases in the State. When we look back the Epidemiological record of last five to ten years, there were large number of Malaria,Dengue, Chikungunya and JE(Japanese Enchepalities) cases and malaria is still prevail in some areas/ villages and outbreak like situation occurred in some CHCs/PHCs/SCs like Borguli village under Borguli PHC during the year 2015,Ngorlung village under Ruksin CHC and Ledum village and Keti Kuti area under Bilat PHC during the year 2016 and again in Rombo Keti Kuti area at Ngorlung under Ruksin CHC this year(2017). And massive Outbreak of Dengue occurred during the year 2015 and it reduced during the year 2016 and 2017 simultaneously. Most of the malaria cases were reported from outsiders who were hired for irrigation and other purpose but the disease burden seems to be reduced year by year though certain foci are still there in certain areas. The mortality due to malaria is zero in the District for the last five years which we believed to be due to constant source reduction, IEC/BCC imparted to the Public, EDPT provided by health workers/ health facilities and other control and preventive measures taken as per the latest policy of NVBDCP, increased in health seeking behavior of the public and by the use of LLIN in proper way by public. MO Ics, Health workers, ASHAs, are being sensitized and motivated towards the NVBDCP activities and they are also delivering their best efforts to bring down the cases of malaria and other vector Borne Diseases in their concern areas/villages. -

Basic Road Statictic
Cover Photograph: Improvement of Silluk (NH-13) to Ngopok village(L-10km), under RIDF-XXIV PREFACE The Basic Road Statistic 2019-20 of PWD has been conceptualized to create records of details of roads at divisional level as well as in zonal level. This record maintaining work is being initiated in the office of the Chief Engineer (SID&P) by compiling the data received from different zone during a financial year. It is pertinent to mention here that the roads abstract furnished for publication of Annual Report 2019-20 is having a road length of around 9431.963km and total length of roads as per detailed list furnished by field unit works out to 9278.136km, showing a discrepancy of around 153.827km. The collection of data and maintaining the same is a herculean task and cannot be made available readily at one go. Hence, as a start up effort for collection and maintenance of records in subsequent years, this publication has been brought out. This publication shall be an annual affair for ensuring proper documentation of roads data under PWD. This document in the name of Basic Road Statistics 2019-20 of PWD Arunachal Pradesh books shall be made available in the official website www.arunachalpwd.org. The overall increase in length of road during last one year is around 662.251km. However, it is seen that some of the road length has considerably reduced from record of 2018-19 which might be due to handing over of roads to RWD for PMGSY work or omission in furnishing of data by field units. -
