Introduction 5 Get Help Israel (GHI) - The Israel Association of Mental Health Professionals - was founded in 2016 with the goal of helping English-speakers access qualified mental health professionals and services who have met the strict training and qualifications requirements of the association. GHI achieves this goal by providing the public with an easy to use database of verified professionals. In addition, GHI provides important information about how to navigate the mental health system in Israel. Simultaneously, GHI provides a valuable professional network for English speaking mental health practitioners and assists its members in upholding a high standard of professionalism. GHI upholds this standard by creating a framework that: • Requires members to be verified to ensure that they have recognized graduate level qualifications in their area of specialty • Encourages continuing education via frequent workshops as well as training opportunities provided by GHI’s collaborators • Bridges the gap between immigrant practitioners and more acculturated ones, fostering a network of professionals who are able to guide and support one another • Implements a collaborative model – collaboration between GHI members, organizations, and institutions in the field (including government offices, not for profit, and private organizations) At www.gethelpisrael.com, you will find: COMPREHENSIVE LISTINGS OF PRIVATE MENTAL HEALTH PRACTITIONERS (including Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Therapists, Counselors, and Life Coaches) PRIVATE AND HOSPITAL-BASED TREATMENT FACILITIES ORGANIZATIONS THAT PROVIDE SUBSIDIZED MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES SUPPORT GROUPS AND WORKSHOPS BLOGS WRITTEN BY PROFESSIONALS ON A VARIETY OF TOPICS IN MENTAL HEALTH INFORMATION CENTER - relevant information on mental health (ie.
