About the Artist http://www.kbhancock.com/bio.html

Member of La Société Nationale des Beaux Arts (Paris Salon) K B Hancock has been given the rare privilege for the last eight years to be invited to show at the prestigious Paris Salon at the Carousel du Louvre and was appointed an Associate of La Société Nationale des Beaux Arts. The Vice President of the SNBA said that KBH's impressionist style was the work of a great master. In 2008 he was made the only existing British full member – seemingly, the first since Henry Moore in the 1950s.

K B was born in Alcester, England, in the mid-1920s and inherited his compulsion to paint from his father. As a boy, he studied at the Academie Juliens in Paris; as a young man, he lived and worked in St Ives, , in the presence of artists such as , Leonard Fuller, and Sven Berlin, and he exhibited regularly with the St Ives Society of Artists. Although he has been offered exhibitions around the world, Ken has always sold his impressionist oil paintings of France direct to a broad selection of private international collectors – including very famous names from the worlds of showbusiness and politics. He currently lives in Tetbury, Gloucestershire.
