Dear Tech Support Hope you enjoy Kind Regards Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband Sarah Brischke 1.0 and noticed a distinct slowdown in overall system Bauple Bulletin Editor performance particularly in the flower and jewellery applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0. Why I Chose To Live In Bauple! In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other We want to share your story. What brought you to live in valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Bauple? Conversation 8.0 no longer runs and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. Please note that I have tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail. What can I do? Signed Desperate

Dear Desperate

First, keep in mind that Boyfriend 5.0 is an entertainment package while Husband 1.0 is an operating system. Please enter the comment “I thought you loved me.html”, download Tears 6.2 and be sure to install the Guilt 3.0 update. If those applications work as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewellery 2.0 and Flowers 3.5. However, please remember the overuse of the above applications can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Hay Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1. Please note that Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Snoring Loudly Beta. Whatever you do DO NOT under any circumstances install Mother-In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources). In addition, please do not attempt reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0 program. This is an unsupported application and will crash Husband 1.0. In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend Cookery 3.0 and Hot Lingerie 7.7. Why I Chose To Live In Bauple!

In 2001 we had a sea change and moved to King Island. Then my son and his wife started a family in Nambour QLD. So we decided we wanted to be close to the kids, but we did not want to live too close. So we started looking around what may be within drivable distance. We decided to rent in Maryborough and look around. One day we were out driving here and there and came across a Real Estate Agent in Tiaro (we pronounced this tee-are-o) and decided there were some prop- erties we liked at a place called Bauple. So the Agent took us out to what we thought was the middle of nowhere and we fell in love. Bought a house with a couple of acres with no neighbours and never looked back. Having our Tree change now. April and May have been very busy months for our Branch, starting with our Branch meeting where we were organising various functions that are coming up. Lola and Lyn attended the Burnett Division Executive meeting held at Eidsvold on Friday 16th April, a very long day but lots achieved at the meeting...... COVID-19 has really curtailed some of our normal activities at our Competi- tions Days across the Division.

Sunday 18th April we were at Bunnings at Gympie manning a Sausage Sizzle, which we appreciated, as it gave us the opportuni- ty to help swell our fund raising, which has been pretty slow this year.

On April 20th, I attended and spoke at Terry Tomsett’s funeral which was held at Redcliffe, Terry was very supportive of our Branch as Grace was a member and both very involved in our Scrabble Days which are held annually in September.

Lola laid a wreath at the Anzac Dawn Service in Tiaro, then 4 of us travelled to Miva CWA to attend their 11 am Service and help with catering for their lunch, due to a number of their members either not being well or travelling.

On April 29th was ‘Women Walk the World Day’... so all or as many as possible met at Howard CWA Hall and we will walk around the area and then caught up with Rossco from the ABC who interviewed a couple of us. This is a worldwide activity and members of the Associated Country Women of the World were doing the same thing all around the world.

On Saturday and Sunday (May 1st & 2nd) we helped out at the Rosella Festival which was held at Petersen’s Farm on the way to Woolooga, we made 56 dozen scones and a scone with Rosella Jam and cream was handed to all who come through the gate. We are very happy to be able to support one of our newer members CC on this day, we also have a stall with craft items and raf- fles.

Lola and Lyn have attended to meetings at to get the Pt. Vernon/ CWA Branch up and going again, a very suc- cessful result. Have filled all Executive positions with a membership of over 20 ladies joining.

Yesterday three members travelled to to attend the Burnett Division International Day, this year we studied Malaysia, so all the food we ate was Malaysian,

Tomorrow, May 14th we are holding our Monster Tombola and Branch finals of our competitions, so please come along as we have heaps of Tombola prizes to give away, raffles etc plus enjoy a delicious light lunch.

Until next time, Keep safe Lyn & the Gootchie Girls

GRADER & ROLLER HIRE Listening to Tiaro Community Radio at night provides a different perspective than sitting in front of the tv viewing the same old shows night after night. There is a variety of music throughout the week to entertain you. From Jazz on Sundays, concert and orchestral on Mondays to RnB blues on Wednesday, to country on Thursday, and pop and rock n roll on Fridays and Saturdays. Tuesday nights are filled with Social, Cultural, Science and the Arts with a diverse range of topical discussion programs from across Australia. They are high quality programs produced in Community Radio Stations just like ours in Tiaro. Tune is and have a listen.

So can we produce shows? There is an opportunity for volunteers in our area to produce radio shows just like these and have them distributed around the nation through the Community Radio Network. Yes there are rules to follow and regulations to abide by and approvals to go through. However, this could be an opportunity to showcase the uniqueness of the area we live. Or, perhaps provide an opportunity to promote people from our area to the rest of our nation.

Food for thought don't you think? Cheers for now Gavan Berger Co Ordinator Tiaro Community Radio 107.1fm Ph 07 4193 9612
