n 22 August 2019, Marines’ Memorial opened up the quarterly “New Member Reception” to all members, whether joining in 1946 or 2019. Enjoying beer, wine, and hors d’oeuvres, more than 50 new and long-standing members heard Ofrom CEO and President LtGen Jan Huly, USMC (Ret), General Manager Michael Allen, and representatives from each department about the history of the Marines’ Memo- rial, Club operations, and the many benefits of member- ship. Awards (and Leatherneck Steakhouse gift certificates) were given to those members in attendance with the lon- gest and shortest tenure. Staff Sergeant Henry L. Tassinari, USMC (Ret) received the award for longest membership, having joined in 1954. The newest member award was a tie, going to Charlie Daniels and Christopher Steely, both of <
