SARAH JAROSZ RECEIVES TWO GRAMMY NOMINATIONS FOR HER CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED BUILD ME UP FROM BONES

Nashville, TN - Acclaimed 22-year old singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Sarah Jarosz has been nominated for two GRAMMY awards for her celebrated third album Build Me Up From Bones (Sugar Hill). The album received a nod in the BEST FOLK ALBUM CATEGORY, while the title track received a nomination in the inaugural BEST AMERICAN ROOTS SONG category. Jarosz's two previous albums, and Follow Me Down have each received GRAMMY Nominations.

2013 has been an amazing year for Sarah Jarosz who continues to push the boundaries of acoustic music. Released September 24th, Build Me Up From Bones was recorded as she was completing her senior year at New England Conservatory. The album debuted at #2 on the Americana Music Chart then quickly moved to the #1 spot for six consecutive weeks. The collection has received high praise from The New York Times, USA Today, CMT Edge, Boston Globe, Country Weekly and many more. American Songwriter wrote that "It's the soundtrack for dusk. For those brief moments between sundown and nightfall, when everything feels still and gorgeous and comfortable". The magazine also ranked the album #10 in their Top 50 Albums of 2013. New York Magazine's Vulture.com listed it as one of the year's "10 Great New Folks Albums" and famed economist Paul Krugman, a longtime supporter and true believer premiered Jarosz’s video for “1,000 Things” in his popular New York Times blog. Sarah along with musicians Alex Hargreaves and Nathaniel Smith recently taped an NPR Tiny Desk Concert (click here), a Daytrotter session (click here) and performed on Mountain Stage (click here). A highlight of 2013, was a repeat booking for Jarosz at Austin City Limits. The appearance will air on February 1st, 2014 via PBS.

The 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be held Jan. 26, 2014, at Staples Center in Los Angeles and once again will be broadcast live on CBS from 8–11:30 p.m. (ET/PT).
