Üyesi Serkan Tevabil AKA Uluslararası Olimpiyat Komitesi (IOC) tarafından organize edilen olimpiyat oyunlarında güreş dalı üç kategoride düzenlenmektedir. Grekoromen stil 1896 yılında, serbest stil ise 1904 yılında oyunlara dâhil edilmiştir. Kadınlar kategorisi ancak 2004 yılında olimpiyatlara dâhil olabilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı modern olimpiyat oyunlarının ilkinden sonuncusuna kadar yapılan oyunlarda; serbest, grekoromen ve kadınlar kategorisinde Türkiye adına yarışan büyükler milli takım güreşçilerinin elde ettikleri sonuçları incelemektir. Araştırmada tarama modellerinden ‘’örnek olay tarama modeli’’ benimsenmiş, veri toplama yöntemi olarak da ‘’doküman analizi yöntemi’’ kullanılmıştır. 76’sı grekoromen stilde, 88’i serbest stil, 10’u hem serbest hem grekoromen stilde, 5’i kadınlar kategorisinde olmak üzere toplam 179 güreşçinin yaptıkları maçlar ve elde ettikleri madalyalar çalışma kapsamında ele alınmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda serbest stilde Türkiye’yi temsil eden 98 milli güreşçinin 18’i altın 12’si gümüş 9’u bronz olmak üzere toplamda 39 madalya; grekoromen stilde Türkiye’yi temsil eden 86 güreşçinin 11’i altın, 6’sı gümüş, 7’si bronz olmak üzere toplam 24 madalya kazandıkları görülmüştür. 2018, 105 sayfa Anahtar Kelimeler: Türkiye, Güreş, Olimpiyat, Grekoromen Stil, Serbest Stil. viii ABSRACT MASTER THESIS EVALUATION OF RESULTS OBTAINED BY TURKEY IN MODERN OLYMPIC GAMES Advisor: Assist. Prof. Serkan Tevabil AKA 2018, 105 pages Jury: Prof. Dr. Gökhan BAYRAKTAR Prof. Dr. Hüseyin KIRIMOĞLU Assist. Prof. Serkan Tevabil AKA Wrestling in Olympic Games organized by the IOC (International Olympic Committee) is held in three categories. Grecoroman style was included in the games in 1896, and freestyle was included in the games in 1904. The category of women was only included in the Olympics in 2004. The aim of this study is searching the results obtained by adults national team wrestlers representing Turkey in free, Grecoroman and women categories from the first to the last of the modern Olympic Games. In this research, '' case study model '' is adopted from the screening models and '' document analysis method '' is used as data collection method. The scope of this study includes 179 competitions and medals which are 76 in Grecoroman, 88 in freestyle, 10 in both of free and Grecoroman style, 5 in women’s categories. The results of the survey demonstrates that 98 national wrestlers representing Turkey won 39 medals in freestyle which of them are 18 gold,12 silver, 9 bronze and 86 wrestlers representing Turkey won 24 medals in Grecoroman style which of them are 11 gold, 6 silver and 7 bronze. According to the obtained results Turkey is at the 3th place in the ranking of freestyle best countries and at the 6th place in the ranking of the Grecoroman style best countries as of 2016. ix From the results, it can be seen that the most important factors affecting the country's rankings are related to economic conditions of countries, development levels, effects of global wars, sports politics, trainer and athlete competences. From: United World Wrestling Press [email protected] Subject: Wrestling Returns with Individual World Cup in Belgrade, Dec. 12-18 Date: December 11, 2020 at 1:00 PM To: [email protected] Links: UWW LIVE Preview Show Individual World Cup Event Page Greco-Roman Brackets BELGRADE, Serbia (December 10) -- The 2020 Individual World Cup gets underway Saturday in Belgrade, Serbia, with 505 wrestlers representing 51 different countries. Thirty weight categories in three styles will be contested over seven days of competition. The Individual World Cup is serving as a substitute event for the 2020 World Championships. The event was canceled after not fulfilling the criteria set forth by the UWW Bureau. The criteria included having at least 8 of 10 of the top nations from the 2019 World Championships and 70% of total athletes participate in 2020. The Individual World Cup represents international wrestling's return to competition and will lay the groundwork for safety protocols and countermeasures around all competitions. This will be vital to ensure a safe environment for future competitions in the lead up to the Tokyo Olympics. The event has a prize pool of 300,000 Swiss Francs, which will be divided evenly across the 30 weight categories.
