Rabbit Anti-Human/Mouse Nijmegen breakage syndrome 1 (NBN, AT -V1, AT -V2, ATV, NBS, NBS1, P95)

Instruction Manual

Catalog Number PK-AB718-6839 Synonyms NIBRIN Antibody: Nijmegen breakage syndrome protein 1, NBN, AT-V1, AT-V2, ATV, NBS, NBS1, P95, Cell cycle regulatory protein p95 Description NIBRIN (NBN) is a member of the double-strand break repair complex MRE11//NBN (MRN) which is involved in DNA double-strand break repair, DNA damage-induced checkpoint activation and plays a critical role in the maintenance of integrity. NIBRIN contains two modules found in cell cycle checkpoint , a forkhead-associated domain adjacent to a breast cancer carboxy-terminal domain. Mutations in this are associated with Nijmegen breakage syndrome and maybe the cause of cancer predisposition and aplastic anemia. Quantity 100 µg Source / Host Rabbit Immunogen NIBRIN antibody was raised against a 15 amino acid synthetic peptide near the carboxy terminus of human NIBRIN. Purification Method Affinity chromatography purified via peptide column. Clone / IgG Subtype Polyclonal antibody Species Reactivity Human, Mouse Specificity Two alternatively spliced transcript isoforms of NIBRIN are known to exist. Formulation Antibody is supplied in PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide. Reconstitution During shipment, small volumes of antibody will occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial. For products with volumes of 200 μl or less, we recommend gently tapping the vial on a hard surface or briefly centrifuging the vial in a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container’s cap. Storage & Stability Antibody can be stored at 4ºC for three months and at -20°C for up to one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures. Applications E, WB, IHC, IF |Note: Antibody might be suitable for other applications not tested so far. Optimal concentrations for each application have to be determined indivudually. NIBRIN antibody can be used for detection of NIBRIN by Western blot at 1 µg/mL. Antibody can also be used for immunohistochemistry starting at 2.5 µg/mL. For immunofluorescence start at 2.5 µg/mL. Images Available upon request. References Carney JP, Maser RS, Olivares H, et al.
