This has been an extremely important year for the Toronto Symphony 2006.2007 Government Relations Orchestra. Peter Oundjian's third season as Music Director featured the complete Beethoven and Brahms symphony cycles, the third guest artists iteration of the popular Mozart and New Creations Festivals, a celebration of Russian music, visits by three distinguished Soloists The 2006-2007 season featured a stunning line - Canadian orchestras, and a wide array of stellar international up of world-class guest soloists. The Toronto Symphony Foundation was incorporated in 1966 to aid the Toronto Symphony Orchestra in the advancement of orchestral music and the production of orchestral concerts. The TSF receives, administers, and general fund invests gifts. Annual funding grants are made to the TSO. The Toronto Symphony Orchestra serves the community with one of the largest music education outreach programmes in North America. The Symphony reaches more than 100,000 young people each season with a variety of curriculum-based programmes intended to supplement and enhance a young person's music education.
