Waliy> in the fiqh study In terms of fiqh, the word of "waliy> " has an meaning the person who according to the law (religious, traditional) obligations entrusted to attend to orphans, before the child is an adult; parties which represent a bride at the time married (is doing the ceremony with the groom).1 1. Waliy> in marriage a. Definition of waliy> and its position in marriage In marriage, the word of waliy> is a person who acts on behalf of the bride in a marriage ceremony. The existence of waliy> in the marriage ceremony is one thing that must there and will not be valid marriage contract without action of the waliy>. Waliy> was placed as a pillar in marriage according to ulema agreement in principally. Since the military brought the first detainees to Guantánamo in January 2002, the Pentagon has consistently refused to comprehensively identify those it holds. While it has, at various times, released information about individuals who have been detained at Guantánamo, it has always maintained ambiguity about the population of the facility at any given moment, declining even to specify precisely the number of detainees held at the base. We have sought to identify the detainee population using a variety of records, mostly from habeas corpus litigation, and we have sorted the current population into subgroups using both the government’s allegations against detainees and detainee statements about their own affiliations and conduct. -

However, with modernity barakah has become an alienated concept in the life of modern man. Yet, it also offers certain rewards and benefits to human psychology. The purpose of this article is to explain how Zakat (Islamic charity), or the giving of alms to the poor or those in need, can help improve one’s psychological well-being. The study found that sincerity and understanding the wisdom of Zakat are the two important elements for improving psychological well-being among Muslim believers. This is because Zakat can foster many positive attitudes such sincerity, compassion, and gratitude. Moreover, Zakat can also prevent negative traits like greed, arrogance, and selfishness. Therefore, Zakat, performed with sincerity and philosophical understanding can be used as a form treatment for neurosis patients. It is hoped that this article can serve as a guideline for psychologists and counsellors in how to treat Muslim neurosis patients. A Mystic Union: Reaching Sufi Women Cynthia A. Strong Sufism or Islamic mysticism was incorporated into orthodox Islam during the early Middle Ages. Sufi worldview and values, however, can often differ markedly from the faith of other Muslims. In this article Cynthia Strong explains Sufism’s history and attraction and suggests a biblical response. The rhythmic, mnemonic dhikr or chant of Sufi Muslims draws us into a world little known or understood by Westerners. It is a call that differs from the formal Muslim salat, or prayer; a call to a spiritual rather than family lineage; a search for salvation that ends in self-extinction rather than paradise. It is a way of self-discipline in the midst of emotion; a poetry that informs the heart rather than the mind; an ecstatic experience and, for many, a spiritual union that results in supernatural powers. For Sufi Muslims, the Five Pillars and the Shari’ah law can be dry and lifeless. Longing for a direct experience with God and a spiritual advisor who can guide them through the temptations of this world, Sufis belong to a community that brings unique spiritual dimensions to formal Islam. In its vitality, simplicity, aesthetics and worldwide links, Sufism poses a significant challenge to Christian mission. To address it, we must reflect not only on Sufi history and practice but also understand all we are and have in Christ Jesus. Reaching Sufis may urge us to recover some of the spiritual dynamic inherent in the gospel itself. A SHORT HISTORY OF SUFISM Sufism is often described as one of three Sects within Islam along with Sunnis and Shiites.
