CONSISTENCY UNDER WILSON: Since the 2003-04 season, when Doug Wilson was named general manager of the Sharks, no team has more playoff seasons than the San Jose Sharks, and only the Pittsburgh Penguins have played in more Stanley Cup Playoff series than San Jose, entering postseason play this year . San Jose has advanced to the Stanley Cup Playoffs in 19 of their last 21 NHL seasons overall . On the chart below, each team that has qualified for the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs has already received an additional “Playoff Season” on this chart . However, each of those teams does not yet have a “Series Played” credited yet . So for instance, once their first round series begins, San Jose will have 28 “Series Played” and would receive an additional one for each series they advance . This is the same for all 2019 playoff teams . Additonally, each team’s W-L record will need to be adjusted accordingly as they progress thru the 2019 playoffs . That covers the big three hockey pool magazines and you should have at least one of them as part of your draft prep. The other thing you need, of course, is this Guide right here. It is not only updated throughout the summer, but I also make sure that the features/tidbits found in here are unique. I know what’s in the print mags and I have always tried to set this Guide apart from them. Once again, this is an automatic download – just pick it up in your downloads section. Look for one or two updates in August, then one or two updates between September 1st and 14th. After that, when training camp is in full swing, I will be updating every two or three days right into October.
