CONF.) CONSISTENCY UNDER WILSON: Since the 2003-04 season, when Doug Wilson was named general manager of the Sharks, no team has more playoff seasons than the San Jose Sharks, and only the Pittsburgh Penguins have played in more Stanley Cup Playoff series than San Jose, entering postseason play this year . San Jose has advanced to the Stanley Cup Playoffs in 19 of their last 21 NHL seasons overall . On the chart below, each team that has qualified for the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs has already received an additional “Playoff Season” on this chart . However, each of those teams does not yet have a “Series Played” credited yet . So for instance, once their first round series begins, San Jose will have 28 “Series Played” and would receive an additional one for each series they advance . This is the same for all 2019 playoff teams . Additonally, each team’s W-L record will need to be adjusted accordingly as they progress thru the 2019 playoffs .
