At the dawn of the annual #phonepocalypse on us and there are many exciting new Android phones on the horizon. However, there is one long-awaited phone due to this time of year that we don't talk much around these parts: the iPhone.Yesterday, Bloomberg unleashed a flood of information about the upcoming iPhone 11, as well as details about the next generation of iPads, MacBooks, AirPods, and even The HomePod, all of which are set to debut at the event next month. Let's dive in to see what the elite Android crop for 2019 will be against.iPhone Pro and iPhone XR 2Apple are once again preparing three iPhones for launch this September. One of them will reportedly be the simple successor to the iPhone XR, while the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max will be anointed as the Pro Model, much like the iPad Pro series (and any other phone with the Pro in the title). All three phones appear to be set for sale in the same month, with Apple eying strong performance in its sales reporting at No.4. Design-wise, the new Pro iPhones will look almost identical to iPhone XS phones and have the same display sizes. These displays will still be OLED, but 3D Touch has gone in favor of Haptic Touch, which is similar to the long press functionality found on the original iPhone XR. There will be some small body color settings, with some of the glossy look replaced by a more matte finish. The iPhone XR will also now come in a green colorway. As for features, the iPhone or the iPhone Pro will enjoy a few camera updates. The front photo to the dual XS camera system - a regular and telephoto - will join the third lens for ultra-wide angular shots (and video). A trio of sensors will work together in tandem with AI software to automatically correct a combined photo if, for example, a person is accidentally cut from one of the images, the report said. Low light performance was also the focus. The iPhone XR, meanwhile, will sport a dual camera module with optical zoom support and improved portrait mode. The iPhone XS series' famous video capture suite will also get a boost, with Apple apparently getting them closer to professional video cameras. The new feature will allow users to edit and retouch the video while it is recorded live. All next-generation iPhones will be powered by A13 processors, which are equipped with a new co-processor called AMX or an internal matrix. This will supposedly help ease the load on the main chip and help with augmented reality features. Related: Why are Apple's chips faster than '? Other new features include reverse wireless charging for Pro models, so you can charge the AirPods a la Galaxy S10 Wireless Powershare used with Galaxy Buds, new shatter-resistance and waterproof technologies for added durability and waterproofing, and an upgraded multi-angle Face ID sensor. One of the biggest takeaways is that it's not here. According to Bloomberg, support for 5G and the fourth rear camera for 3D capture and advanced AR features - something Apple has consistently talked about over the years - are both saved for 2020 iPhones, which are expected to be the next huge step forward in both design and features for Apple's ever-popular . The new iPad Pro and the more expensive AirPodsApple, a seemingly impregnable lead in the premium tablet market, looks set to continue with the new 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro changes. The report is not too detailed, but expect to see a similar design, improved camera, and A13 SoC under the hood. There will also be a new budget iPad aimed at the educational market with a 10.2-inch screen that can replace the existing 9.7-inch model. After the low-key launch of new wireless buds earlier this year, the AirPods will again be getting some love next month with waterproof and noise-cancelling features. They are expected to start next year and will probably carry a higher price than existing models. Big MacBooks and cheaper HomePodIn addition to the actual launch of the ridiculously expensive Mac Pro cheese grater revealed at WWDC 2019, Apple will also be unveiling the new MacBook Pro in September with a huge 16-inch display and slim frame. Much HomePod smart speaker will take to the stage again, only Time Apple can introduce a cheaper model with only two tweeters, as opposed to seven found on a regular $300 HomePod.Show me moneyThe biggest question without answer - as is always the case with any Apple product - is the price. Consumers are pretty familiar with Apple's so-called tax at the moment, but with its closest competitor raising prices well beyond the $1,000 mark with its own flagship range, will Apple go higher again with the iPhone Pro? We'll find out next month. Until then, let us know your thoughts on Apple's potential lineup for 2019 in the comments. With ten years of iPhones under Apple's belt, the company wants to celebrate this event with the iPhone X. From the dipped bezel-less display on the front to the powerful guts on the inside, there's plenty for Apple fans to be excited about with the iPhone X.First Thing first, however: we know it's a little weird that the Android-focused website says about Apple's high-end iPhone. It's our duty to bring you the latest and greatest Android coverage, but we also need to look at what the biggest Android competitors bring to the table. With that in mind, let's compare the iPhone X with some of its Android competitors. Let's start with a display that has turned into quite a narrative for an increasing number of flagship smartphones this year, and rightly so - the switch to higher displays has spurred manufacturers to make phones with smaller frames. Apple officially joins this trend with the iPhone X, which has almost a bezel less than 5.8-inch, 2436 x 1125 resolution OLED Super Retina display. At 458 ppi, not only is the iPhone X the most -dense iPhone Apple has made so far, but with the switch to OLED, the phone is much friendlier to VR content. As the final points on the iPhone X display, it supports HDR 10 and Dolby Vision, along with Apple's True Tone technology, which makes the display fit with the ambient lighting conditions of your environment. By comparison, samsung Galaxy Note 8, LG V30, HTC U11 and XL have at least XD resolution, but more subtle points only continue from here. Without U11, all phones have OLED displays, so they'll be better for vr content and for those saturated colors that some people really enjoy. The display on the Galaxy Note 8 and V30 almost completely covers the fronts of the two phones, while the U11 and Pixel XL adhere to a regular 16:9 ratio. The Galaxy Note 8 and V30 display is capable of HDR, but they support different HDR standards. iPhone XSamsung Galaxy Note 8LG V30HTC U11Google Pixel XLDisplay5.8-inch OLED display Super Retina (2436x1125) 458 ppi6.3-inch AMOLED (2960x 18.5:9 ratio of parties6.0-inch POLED FullVision (2880x1440) 18:9 ratio of parties5.5-inch LCD (2560x1440) 16:9 parties5.5-inch AMOLED (2560x1440) 16:9 aspect ratioSoCApple A11 A11 835 или Exynos 8895Snapdragon 835Snapdragon 835Snapdragon 821CPUHexa-core4x 2,35 ГГц Kryo 280 3 ГГц Samsung M2 4x 1,7 ГГц Кортекс-A534x 2,45 ГГц Kryo 280 и 4x 1,9 ГГц Kryo4x 2,45 ГГц Kryo 280 и 4x 1,9 ГГц Kryo2x 2,15 ГГц Kryo 2x 1,6 ГГц KryoGPUUnknownAdreno 540 или Мали-G71 MP20Adreno 540Adreno 540Adreno 530RAMUnknown6 GB4 / 6 GB4 GBStorage64 / 256 GB64 / 128 / 256 GB64 GB 128 GB (V30 Plus только)64 / 128 GB32 / 128 GBMicroSDNoYesYesYesNo с точки зрения обработки, вещи немного неизвестны в отношении iPhone X. Мы знаем, что он имеет Apple A11 Bionic, который имеет два ядра производительности, четыре высок эффективности ядра, и Apple разработан GPU. In other words, the A11 Bionic is the hexa-core SoC, which is almost entirely Apple designed, which should lead to momentum for augmented reality applications and development, as well as better battery life and performance compared to previous iterations. By comparison, the Galaxy Note 8, V30 and U11 are equipped with the newest Snapdragon 835 SoC, while the Pixel XL does do with the Snapdragon 821. In years, the Snapdragon 821 is a little long in the tooth and not as effective as the Snapdragon 835, but the Pixel XL software makes up for these flaws. No matter which phone you choose, it will be a lot powerful for your needs. It's just a question of whether you want a little more future-proof or all right with something a little older. Turning to memory, it is unknown how much RAM the iPhone X packs, but there will be 64GB and 256GB configurations as soon as it goes on sale. Going through the list, the V30 and Pixel XL feature 4GB of RAM, with the former featuring 64GB of storage and the latter coming in 32GB and 128GB configurations. The Galaxy Note 8 does do with a whopping 6GB of RAM and either 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB of storage. Finally, the U11 has either 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage or 6GB of RAM and double the storage. Support for microSD cards is a bit sporadic, with iPhone X and Pixel XL only phones on the table so as not to have a microSD card slot. iPhone XSamsung Galaxy Note 8LG V30HTC U11Google Pixel XLCameras12 MP f/1.8 wide-angle + 12 MP f/2.4 telephoto rear with OIS and 2x zoom 7 MP f/2.2 front12 MP f/1.7 wide-angle + 12 MP f/2.4 telephoto rear with OIS and 2x zoom 8 MP f/1.7 wide-angle front16 MP f/1.6 with OIS + 13 MP f/1.9 wide-angle rear 5 MP f/2.2 wide-angle front12 MP f/1.7 with OIS rear 16 MP f/2.0 front12.3 MP f/2.0 rear 8 MP f/2.4 frontBatteryUnknown3,300 mAh3,300 mAh3,000 mAh3,450 mAhNFCYesYesYesYesYesFingerprintNoYesYesYesYesFast ChargeYesYesQuick Charge 3.0Quick Charge 3.0YesIP RatingIP67IP68IP68IP67No3.5 mm audioNoYesYesNoYesExtrasLightning, facial recognition (Face ID), Siri, fast charging, Animoji, HDR display, Apple Pay, Bluetooth 5USB Type-C, Bixby, facial recognition , wireless charging, Samsung Pay, HDR display, 5, Live Message, S PenUSB Type-C, wireless charging, HDR display, MIL-STD-810G certified, 32-bit Advanced Hi-Fi quad DACUSB Type-C, BoomSound Hi-Fi, HTC Connect, Hi-Res audio, Edge Sense, AI assistantsUSB Type-C, Daydream, updates directly from GoogleOSiOS 11Android 7.1 NougatAndroid 7.1.2. NoAndrotid 7.1 NougatAndroid 8.0 Oreo There are quite a bit to turn around with the camera, so let's start with the front. The iPhone X has a 7 MP TrueDepth camera and a dual 12 MP camera on the back, with the OIS featured for both rear cameras. Selfies and rear cameras not only allow portrait photography, but the ability to change the lighting of these images after a portrait. Previous iPhone cameras have been pretty solid, so we're not concerned about the quality of the iPhone X camera. Back to the iPhone X in the rear dual camera, the second camera has a telephoto lens that allows up to a 2x optical zoom. The second rear camera of the Galaxy Note 8 is also a telephoto lens, while the second main V30 camera shakes the wide-angle lens. The U11 and Pixel XL don't rock the rear dual cameras, but they're excellent nonetheless. Every phone has reasons why its cameras are good. The Galaxy Note 8 provides sharp and rich images, the V30 is a videographer's dream, the U11 provides color photos, and the Pixel XL has the best video stabilisation we've seen on a smartphone. If your reason for buying a smartphone is primarily due to the camera, you are not mistaken with any phone in this comparison. By touching the selfie sensor for a while, the iPhone X uses Face ID, Apple's facial recognition feature. According to the company, it's safer than Touch ID and just as fast when it comes to shopping and entering your phone. The Galaxy Note 8 also has facial recognition software and an iris scanner at the front, so stay tuned to see how the iPhone X and Galaxy Note 8 stack up against each other when it comes to facial recognition. First, the iPhone X is equipped with wireless charging and fast charging, as well as IP67 certification. The rest of the phones have fast charging, although the Galaxy Note 8 and V30 are the only other phones in this comparison that include wireless charging. In addition, every phone, except the Pixel XL, has some level of dust and waterproofness. The iPhone X also introduces Animoji, which have animated emojis that use your trapped muscle movements to reflect your expressions. We're torn about how useful Animoji will be, but they have the potential to be incredibly popular, given how many people potentially pick up the iPhone X.Other bits and beans include iOS 11, Siri, Apple Pay, and Bluetooth 5, just to call By comparison, the Galaxy Note 8 has a laundry room Functions. From Bixby and Samsung Pay to S Pen and Live Message, the phone definitely delivers with quantity and quality. The V30 is a dream phone audio maven, since it has a 32-bit Advanced Hi-Fi quad- core DAC, while the U11's Edge Sense means you can squeeze the hand to perform the action. The Pixel XL is a relatively rare on-the-front feature, but you can't undermine its timely update directly from Google. Finally, the iPhone X doesn't have a fingerprint sensor, the first for the iPhone line since the iPhone 5 in 2012. Every other phone in this comparison has a fingerprint sensor, so if you opt for the iPhone X, you better hope that Face ID works as advertised. In short, it's easy to scoff at the iPhone X, and I can see why. In some cases, it plays catch-up with Android flagships yesterday and today with wireless and fast charging capabilities. Apple has finally upgraded the display resolution on the iPhone X to one that can compete with the best out there. Hell, I disagree with Apple about removing the headphone jack, especially since the Lightning headphone market hasn't exactly flourished. Not a great look at the company, proclaiming the iPhone X to be the future of smartphones. At the same time, it can be said that the iPhone X will be the first time most people (at least in the US) will be exposed to such a form factor. Yes, Samsung and LG have beaten Apple to market with almost no-go displays on their smartphones, but remember that most people in the U.S. buy iPhones. This is an important point to keep in mind, since the iPhone X is most likely a design that Apple will move forward with and because it will sell no matter what. That's why I'm glad that the Galaxy Note 8, V30, U11 and Pixel XL exist. If you don't like iOS and record an embarrassing number of videos, the V30 is your choice. If you want a telephoto experience on Android and want a great kind of hardware, the Galaxy Note 8 is in the right of your lane. You really can't go wrong with any of the phones that we've compared, and it will be interesting to see how the iPhone X stacks up against them in the real world once it becomes available in November. What are your thoughts?
