Drug Demand-Reduction Accomplishment

On demand-reduction activities, this Regional Office accomplished the following with support from different line agencies, LGUs and other counterparts, to wit:

1. AURORA PROVINCIAL OFFICE

 July 1, 2019 – PDEA Aurora Provincial Office with Dir III Lyndon P Aspacio, ARD, PDEA ROIII awarded the Certificates of Appreciation to all Barangay Captains, Officials from BFP, PNP DILG and LGUs of Dingalan during the Inauguration of Sangguniang Bayan and State of the Municipal Address (SOMA) of Mayor Shierwin H Taay and at the same time declaring the Municipality of Dingalan, Aurora, as Drug Free/Cleared Municipality.

 July 2, 2019 – PDEA Aurora Provincial Office attended the Oversight Committee Meeting held at Aurora Police Provincial Office, Camp Capt. Victor V Ravina, Baler, Aurora and presented the updates on Barangay Drug Clearing Situations in the Province of Aurora.

 July 3, 2019 – PDEA Aurora Provincial Office led by IA3 Juancho L Esteban paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Rhett Angara, the newly elected-mayor of Baler, Aurora. Provincial Officer discussed matters regarding the stability of PDEA Provincial Office in Baler and its drive against illegal drugs and clearing operations in the province of Aurora. The Mayor also expresses his support to PDEA.

 July 4, 2019 – PDEA Aurora Provincial Office attended PPOC together with all the members of PPOC TWG, Officials and representatives from LGUs and other Units at the Governor's Conference Room, Capitol Bldg., Baler, Aurora and signing of Resolution No.2019-02: Condemning the actions and activities of the CCP-NPA, its Front Groups and Affiliates, declaring their presence detrimental to Peace and Development in the Province of Aurora.

 July 11, 2019 – PDEA Aurora Provincial Office attended PMCC Meeting re Finalization of POPS Program and PPAs held at DILG Aurora Provincial Office Conference Room, Baler, Aurora.

PDEA Aurora Provincial Office had a courtesy visit to PCapt Ferdinad B Usita, the newly assigned Chief of Police, Baler MPS.

 July 12, 2019 – PDEA Aurora Provincial Office represented by IO1 Raymond Refuerzo and IO1 Isidro De Guzman conducted lectures re Ill Effects of Drugs to high school students of Baler National High School, Baler, Aurora and distributed PDEA Comic Books with the participation of Baler PNP.

 July 13, 2019 – PDEA Aurora Provincial Office represented by IO1 Raymond Refuerzo and IO1 Isidro De Guzman conducted lectures re Drug Abuse and Ill Effects of Drugs to senior high school and college students of Wesleyan University, Maria Aurora, Aurora and distributed PDEA comic Books with the participation of Maria Aurora PNP.

 July 17, 2019 – PDEA Aurora Provincial Office headed by IA3 Juancho L Esteban attended PPOC TWG Meeting and presented PDEA Aurora Provincial Office budget proposal for the Year 2020-2022, held at the Governor's Conference Room, Capitol Bldg., Baler Aurora.

 July 19, 2019 – PDEA Aurora Provincial Office attended the 3rd Quarter PPOC Meeting and presented his Final Presentation re PDEA Aurora Provincial Office Budget Allocation Proposal for the Year 2020 to 2022 which was approved by the Governor and members of PPOC-TWG held at the Governor's Conference Room, Capitol Bldg., Baler, Aurora.

2. BATAAN PROVINCIAL OFFICE

 July 8, 2019 – PDEA Bataan Provincial Officer led by IA3 Marlou Ordoña together with Provincial Chief Intelligence Branch – Bataan, PMaj, Joey V. Sampaga, PCapt. Phoe G. Pangan Jr., and Intelligence Unit from the twelve (12) MPS conducted Intel Workshop and Validation regarding the updated Provincial Unified Watch List of Bataan Province as of July 8, 2019 held at Bataan PPO Conference Room, Camp Cirilo Tolentino, Balanga City, Bataan.

 July 15, 2019 – PDEA Bataan PO led by IO1 Camilo A. Bascuguin Jr. together with Chief PDEU PCapt. Phoe G. Pangan Jr., and Intelligence Unit from the twelve (12) MPS conducted Intel Workshop and Validation regarding the updated Provincial Unified Watch List of Bataan Province as of July 15, 2019 held at Bataan PPO Conference Room, Camp Cirilo Tolentino, Balanga City, Bataan.

 July 17, 2019 – PDEA Bataan Provincial Office led by IA3 Marlou M. Ordoña conducted Meeting/Orientation to the newly assigned DEO'S namely, IO1 Mercy Pannad and IO1 Richard Pasaylo in Bataan held at the PDEA Bataan safe house, Balanga City, Bataan.

 July 18, 2019 – PDEA Bataan Provincial Office led by IA3 Marlou M Ordoña attended the Launching of One Bataan Seal of Healthy Barangay at Louis Resort and Restaurant, Balanga City. The said activity attended by the twelve (12) municipalities of Bataan composed of BADAC members, Brgy. Health Workers, PHO, MHO, Rural Health Physicians, and SB on Health. During the meeting, Hon. Governor Abet S Garcia announced that one of the criteria for a Drug Cleared/Drug Free Barangay is the Seal of Healthy Barangay.

 July 24, 2019 – PDEA Bataan Provincial Office and PDEA Bataan-SIU welcomed the arrival of three (3) Narcotics Detection Dogs. Upon arrival at PDEA Bataan-SIU, Animal Keepers conducted regular physical examination on the conditions of the three NDD, there was no indication of unhealthy issues.

 July 30, 2019 – DIR III ATTY. GIL T PABILONA, PDEA RO III Director together with IA1 Blessie G Talavero, Chief POD, PDEA RO III, and Bataan Provincial Office attended the celebration of the 2019 National Science and Technology Week in Central Luzon held at Vista Mall Bataan, City of Balanga Bataan.

3. BULACAN PROVINCIAL OFFICE

 July 16, 2019 – PDEA Bulacan Provincial Officer together with all the Intel Officers of various City/Municipal Police Station in the Province of Bulacan conducted monthly intelligence workshop for updating and validating of the PDEA-PNP unified watchlist held at Camp Alejo Santos Conference Room, City of Malolos, Bulacan.

 July 23, 2019 – PDEA Bulacan Provincial Office headed by IA1 Christopher Macairap together with Mr. Glen Guillermo, PIO who discussed the requirements on the creation of Balay Silangan and Barangay Drug Clearing Program (BDCP) participated by Hon. Cipriano Violagoa, Municipal Mayor, Hon. Edison M Veneracion, Municipal Vice Mayor, PLtCol. Acquiot, COP - PNP San Rafael MPS, Dr. Cindy L Canlas, DOH Region III, Dr. Ma Cristina Vergel De Dios, MHO, Ms. Ma. Victoria Ramos, MSWDO and all Barangay Captains of San Rafael, Bulacan held at Ricardo C Silverio Building Municipal Compound, San Rafael, Bulacan.

 July 24, 2019 – PDEA Bulacan Provincial Office, IA1 Christopher S Macairap had a courtesy visit to Hon. Gilbert T Gatchalian, the newly elected-mayor of Malolos City, Bulacan. PO discussed matters regarding the stability of PDEA Provincial Office in Malolos City and its drive against illegal drugs and clearing operations in the province of Bulacan. The Mayor also expresses his support to PDEA.

 July 29, 2019 – PDEA Bulacan Provincial Office led by IA1 Christopher S Macairap together with Bulacan Provincial Administrator Eugenio Payongayong, DILG Bulacan Provincial Director Darwin David and representatives from PNP Bulacan, Philippine Army and Bureau of Fire attended POPS Plan meeting in Public Administrator’s Office, Bulacan Provincial Capiltol, Malolos City, Bulacan.

4. NUEVA ECIJA PROVINCIAL OFFICE

 July 10, 2019 – PDEA Nueva Ecija Provincial Office Symposium on Drug Awareness and Ill Effects of Illegal Drugs held at Juan R. Liwag Memorial High School Senior High School on.

 July 13, 2019 – PDEA Nueva Ecija Provincial Office attended the Tokhang/House Visitation conducted by Gapan City Police Station in Gapan City, Nueva Ecija.

 July 30, 2019 – PDEA Nueva Ecija Provincial Office attended the launching of “Family Drug Abuse Prevention Program” (FDAPP) and Celebration of World Day against Trafficking held at the Municipal Gym in the municipality of

Jaen, Nueva Ecija.

5. PAMPANGA PROVINCIAL OFFICE

 July 9, 2019 – PDEA Pampanga Provincial Office participated in the City Peace and Order Council in Mabalacat City, Pampanga.

 July 18, 2019 – PDEA Pampanga Provincial Office proceeded to the Municipality of Arayat, Pampanga to attend the Closing Ceremony CBRP of Barangay San Nicolas.

 July 25, 2019 – PDEA Pampanga Provincial Office attended the City Peace and Order Council in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

6. TARLAC PROVINCIAL OFFICE

 July 1, 2019 – PDEA Tarlac Provincial Office led by IO2 Joshua Narcel C Ramos attended Flag Ceremony in Provincial Government of Tarlac.

 July 2, 2019 – PDEA Tarlac Provincial Office participated in the Sanitary Inspection of GREEN ECO Establishment in Sitio, Molave, San Isidro, Tarlac City.

 July 1, 2019 – IA3 Marie Fe V Manto, PDEA Zambales Provincial Officer attended Monday Flag Raising Ceremony and at the same time served as Guest Speaker of PNP ZPPO in relation to the celebration of Police Community Relation month.

8. ANGELES CITY OFFICE

 July 1, 2019 – PDEA Angeles City Office, PDEA RO III RSET, PDEA Pampanga Provincial Office and PDEA RO III K9 Unit together with C, POD IA1 Blessie G Talavero and Director III Irish C Calaguas, Chief of Staff, Officer-in-Charge, Deputy Director General for Administration attended the Inauguration and Oath Taking of Angeles City Elected Officials held at Sapalibutad Elementary School, Brgy. Sapalibutad, Angeles City, Pampanga.

 July 2 and 9, 2019 – IO2 Martin G Pallada served as resource speaker to the reformist of Brgy. Agapito Del Rosario for their Community Based Rehabilitation Program (CBRP) held at Brgy. Agapito Del Rosario Hall, Angeles City, Pampanga.

 July 15, 2019, IO II Roy H Castillo attended Validation on Unified Drug Watchlist and signing of resolution for the period of June 16-30, 2019 held at Angeles City Office Conference Room.

 July 19, 2019, IO II Al Martin G Pallada attended meeting with Angeles City National Trade School principal, teachers, guidance counselor, admin staff, representative from Angeles City Police Station 3 and Angeles City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ACADAC) held at Angeles City National Trade School Guidance Counselor Room.

 July 22, 2019 – PDEA Angeles City Office led by IO2 Al Martin G Pallada attended meeting with Brgy. Capaya elected officials and elementary teachers together with Angeles City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ACADAC) held at Brgy. Capaya Hall, Brgy. Capaya, Angeles City, Pampanga.

 July 29, 2019 – PDEA Angeles CO led by Angeles officer IO2 Roy H Castillo attended Validation of Unified Watchlist and signing of resolution for the period of july 1-15 together with ACPO Deputy City Director for Operations, PLTCol. ALFRED CANLAS, CIB, PLTCol. ROGER TOMEN, OIC CCADB, CPSMU/PIO, PCPT ELAINE S. VILLASIS and station commanders of six (6) Police Stations in Angeles City held at Conference room of Angeles City Police Office.

PDEA Angeles led by Angeles City Officer IO2 Roy H Castilllo attended the Committee Hearing of the committee blue ribbon and laws and rules chaired by Councilors Joseph Alfie T Bonifacio and Arvin Suller, held at the City Council, Legislative building, City Hall Compound Angeles City.

9. SIU-SBMA

 July 27, 2019 – SBMA-SIU led by IA1 Marlon Manwi-it together with PDEA Zambales conducted Proficiency Firing at OPSO Firing Range SBMA.

10. CLARK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT INTER-AGENCY DRUG INTERDICTION TASK GROUP (CRK-IADITG)

 July 3, 4, 12, 20, 2019 – CRK-IADITG conducted K9 Sweeping and Profiling at Clark International Airport.

CRK-IADITG assisted the ICFAS in conducting photo shoot at Clark International Airport for updating of the current poster and brochures for the Task Force Drug Courier (TFDC) communication plan.

11. SIU BATAAN

 July 23, 2019 – PDEA Bataan SIU, PPA-PMO Bataan and PCG K9 Team Bataan conducted profiling and K9 Sweeping at Port of Capinpin, Orion Bataan with 51 departing passengers from Orion to Manila. No illegal drugs and contrabands confiscated.

 July 24, 2019 – PDEA Bataan SIU, PNP Bataan K9 Unit and PCG K9 Team Bataan conducted profiling and K9 Sweeping at Port of Capinpin, Orion Bataan with 61 departing passengers from Orion to Manila. No illegal drugs and contrabands confiscated.

 July 26, 2019 – PDEA Bataan SIU and PDEA SES K9 Unit led by IA1 Merton T Fesway together with PCG and PNP Maritime Group conducted profiling, visibility and K-9 Paneling at Port of Capinpin, Orion Bataan with 58 departing passengers from Orion to Manila. No illegal drugs and contrabands confiscated.

PREVENTIVE EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT (PECI) ACTIVITIES (July 2019)

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency as the premier agency in the anti-drug campaign launches the first ever PDEA Drug Abuse Prevention Comics which aims to create massive awareness on the dreadful effects of dangerous drugs.

The PDEA Comics is part of the agency’s Preventive Education Programs which is meant to educate all sectors of society and give them better understanding on the various initiatives and programs of the government on its war against the social menace.

In response to the agency’s desire to proliferate awareness in consonance to the celebration of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking this July 2019, this Regional Office held series of activities for the distribution of the said IEC material.

A. KABATAAN KONTRA DROGA AT TERORISMO HELD IN LAZATIN MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL, ANGELES CITY

Public Information Officer Glenn M. Guillermo with Philippine Army and Angeles City Police office attended an activity entitled: “Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo” held in Lazatin Memorial High School, Barangay Balibago, Angeles City on July 24, 2019

The activity was attended by 500 participants from grade 10, 11, and 12 students of the said learning institution.

The activity was attended by 150 Senior High School students of the said secondary school in coordination with City of San Fernando Police Station thru PSSGT Richmer Santos, PNCO-PCR.

C. DRUG AWARENESS SEMINAR @ WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY, MARIA AURORA, AUROA

IO1 Gerald Alzaga with IO1 Raymond Refuerzo and IO1 Isidro De Guzman conducted lectures to Students of Wesleyan University- Philippines of Maria Aurora comprising of Junior and Senior High School and college levels some of the salient provisions of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and the ill effects of illegal Drugs.
