ROBERT HALMI, JR. (Executive Producer) - Emmy® Award winner Robert Halmi, Jr. currently serves as Chairman and CEO of Hallmark Entertainment Holdings, Inc., a fully-owned subsidiary of Hallmark Cards, Inc. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Crown Media Holdings, Inc. Halmi's career as a film producer began with “Wilson's Reward,” which garnered numerous awards, including a gold medal at the Houston Film Festival. He has produced more than 100 movies and miniseries for television, such as “Dreamkeeper,” “Dinotopia,” “Arabian Nights,” “The 10th Kingdom,” “Cleopatra,” “Alice in Wonderland,” “The Baby Dance,” “Mr. & Mrs. Bridge” and “Lonesome Dove,” which earned seven Emmy® Awards and a Golden Globe for Best Miniseries. Recent Halmi, Jr. “event” productions include “King Solomon’s Mines,” “La Femme Musketeer,” “Frankenstein,” “Frederick Forsyth’s Icon,” “Supernova” and “Jules Verne’s Mysterious Island” (all for the Hallmark Channel). Halmi, Jr. was also an executive producer on Hallmark Channel’s highest-rated original movie ever, “Meet the Santas,” the sequel to the previously-highest rated film, “Single Santa Seeks Mrs. Claus”

In 1994, Robert Halmi, Jr. became President and CEO of Hallmark Entertainment, Inc. (HEI), the successor of RHI. Since this time HEI has remained the largest supplier of movies and miniseries in the television industry. Under Halmi, Jr.’s guidance, HEI has produced over 1,000 hours of television programming. These shows have received 419 Emmy® nominations and won 99 Emmy® Awards. HEI has received more Emmy® nominations for television movies than any other production company in the history of television.

In 1995, Halmi, Jr. formed Crown Media Holdings, Inc., which currently operates and distributes the Hallmark Channel in the U.S. and more than 122 additional countries in 25 languages. Crown Media is a publicly traded company listed on the Nasdaq® stock exchange.

Halmi, Jr. is also responsible for the creation and growth of the HEI film library. This valuable film library consists of over 4,000 hours of family programming.
