“There are a lot of combined years and knowledge in this trade in Tool & Die,” Doug said. “We all work well together, so we’re capable of handling most of what Engineering, Machine Shop, and Assembly can throw at us.” With almost 40 years at Kimray, machinist Terry Smith said his favorite part of working in Tool & Die is helping the people in the shop whenever he can. “I have been very fortunate to have worked with some very knowledgeable and talented people over the years,” Terry said. “I’ve tried to learn from these individuals and apply what I’ve learned into my job, and possibly pass some of that on to the next person I work with.”

For the past two years, Kimray has brought children and their families from several nonprofits to a special night with the at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Each organization received 100 tickets to distribute, and will receive more than $1,000 raised through in- stadium auctions, donations from a portion of ticket sales, and the “Add-a-Dollar” campaign at stadium concession stands. This year Kimray sponsored Anna’s House Foundation on June 28, Shiloh Camp on July 27, and Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children on August 10. Each organization was granted early entry to the ballpark and given a private meet-and-greet with several OKC Dodgers players. Every participant received a hat and team poster which they had the opportunity to get signed, and every child received a Dodger Dollar voucher for a free kid’s meal while at the game.
