Don't Forget Other Special Offers We Still Have Available!
tel 0115 982 7500 fax 0115 982 7020 DECEMBER 2015 LIST See inside for valid dates Dear Customer, Nearly another year over! 2015 has been an exciting time for us at Europadisc. Back in the spring, we welcomed many new customers who had previously shopped with the sorely-missed Bath Compact Discs and it has been a pleasure to be able to service your mail-order requirements over the last few months. The loyalty of all our customers, old and new, is much appreciated and we hope that it will continue for many years yet. As you will be aware, December is an extremely busy time for any retailer, so we would just like to give you a little guidance on when to ensure your pre-Christmas orders should be with us: UK last posting date - 18th Dec (2nd class); 21st Dec (1st class) Outside of the UK - last posting dates vary, but the best advice is to get your orders in to us as soon as possible! Most will need to be shipped by around 10th December to be safe. Please ensure that you allow us about a week to compile your orders prior to these dates. If any customers in the UK require 1st class delivery, this can be arranged for a small extra charge - please ask at the time of ordering. If ordering new releases, please note where the release date is later in the month, especially if your order is being shipped outside of the UK. New releases are a little slim on the ground for December, but our highlights include Copland from Andrew Litton (BIS), Elgar from Sir Mark Elder (Halle), Janacek from Reinbert de Leeuw (Alpha), Schumann from Alice Coote and Christian Blackshaw (Wigmore Hall Live) and an exciting disc entitled ‘Les Elements’ from Jordi Savall (Alia Vox). -

Adding Percussion to Medieval and Renaissance Music by Peggy Monroe Just as you wouldn’t use saxophones to play Medieval music, there are appropriate percussion instruments to use for added color in early music, especially in music for dancing. Monroe suggests how to choose instruments and provides ideas for playing them, caring for them, and using them creatively on your own. Along with the transcendent, Ryden, William Skeen, David Tayler instantly recognizable instrumentals of the opener, "Air on a G string," this album contains some truly lilting vocal performances. Susanne Ryden's soprano sounds amazing and weightless on tracks like "Bist du bei mir," while Jennifer Lane's rich alto serves as ideal counterpoint on more somber ones such as "Es is vollbracht."
