Visit fraserpubliclibrary.org for more information! FROM THE DIRECTOR Dear Fraser Residents and Fraser Library Patrons, ‘Tis the season of lights, festivities and time with family! Yes, January will likely bring frigid temperatures, but you can stay warm and enjoy the beginning of winter with the Fraser Public Library. Sit and read around our library fireplace, participate in programs and events, and become more connected with your community. We have so many programs to check out this season, such as the annual Christmas Caper, St. John’s musical celebrations, themed story times and winter wonderland adventures! FPL visitors will start to notice a few changes in and around the building over the next few months. We are very excited to be getting an environmentally friendly upgrade to our lighting system, which will save in electricity bills for years to come. With this, some of the oldest fixtures will be replaced entirely, while the rest will be retrofitted for new energy-efficient LED bulbs. Over the Christmas break, the last of the old shelving that has reached the end of its lifetime will be replaced with new, long-lasting Worden library shelving purchased in part with the help of the Friends of the Fraser Public Library. We give them many thanks for all their hard work and dedication to making our community wonderful! Please forgive us if any of these renovations interrupt our ability to be open to the public. We will try to give as much advance notice a possible if any closures are required. Visit us in the library, on Facebook and Instagram, or check out our website, fraserpubliclibrary.org, to check out our programs and offerings this holiday season! Our calendar system allows you to sign up for events online and organize how you would like to receive your event reminders. Also, don’t forget while you are asking questions and visiting the library, make sure to take advantage of all we have to offer - explore our programs, materials, databases and more! We are looking forward to seeing you soon at the FPL! Lorena McDowell, Director

Dear Residents and Patrons,

The goal of the Friends of Fraser Library is to help raise funds directly for the library and to help the library succeed for the year. Every year we organize two books sales, the Spring Fling, the Christmas Caper and many additional activities. The best part is that you can assist the Fraser Public Library, all while meeting others that live in your community. Turn in a completed FOFL volunteer application to the circulation and desk you will receive information for meetings and activities. Friends help by supporting, organizing and running book sales, white elephant tables, silent auction tables, bake sales, children’s craft tables, and face painting as well as making the visits from Santa and the Children’s Farm possible. Be a friend and support our library!
