Graduate Intern Solutions Coordinator Organisation: Sun FM Location: Sunderland £17,000 per annum Full time for 12 months Reference number: INFAC258 Sunderland Intern Factory Ltd is a subsidiary company of the University of Sunderland that has the aim of creating employment opportunities for Sunderland Graduates linked to the University’s civic mission and its contribution to economic growth in Sunderland and the wider Northeast region. Sunderland Intern Factory Ltd is open to Home/EU graduates of the University of Sunderland who have graduated within the last graduating cohort. Working as the Solutions Coordinator, this role is based within Sun FM’s radio studio in Sunderland. The Internship is a full time post, for a 12 month fixed term period. The successful candidate will be recruited by Sunderland Intern Factory Ltd and then placed for the length of the contract at Sun FM. The Organisation: Sun FM is a radio station serving the City of Sunderland and also available in Tyne and Wear, northern parts of County Durham in England. It broadcasts on the frequency 103.4 MHz and plays a mix of contemporary and classic popular music alongside local news, travel and covered ground breaking dance music in the early 90's. Sun FM have previously been voted the No.1 place to work 5 years running in the Sunday Times Top 100 survey by our staff and Sun FM is the biggest radio station in Sunderland beating every other station including Radio 2. Radio advertising on air, online and through social media. Sun FM is no longer just a radio station! http://www.sun-fm.com/ The Internship: The Solutions Coordinator will be working with the Sponsorship, Promotions & Interactive Manager and the Digital Commercial Manager to deliver on air, online and through social media commercial solutions to local client’s needs. Working on innovative solutions to drive client sales and working within the radio stations brand guidelines to administer solutions that are dynamic and accountable to deliver results. This role would involve managing and monitoring sponsorships such as Traffic & Travel in terms of booking them on the system, changing copy and dealing with the client after the sale has been made. Also in brainstorming promotional ideas such as ‘Xmas Toy Appeal’, ‘Sunderland’s Secret Sound’ and many others and creating implementation forms that instruct programming to deliver effective ideas on air. Good organisational skills would be required and the ability to work to tight deadlines going the extra mile on a regular basis while working in a very fast paced office environment. There would be a strong social media and online element requiring the skill sets of Photoshop, Google analytics, Wordpress, MS Office, Mac Suite including iMovie, content writing and other graphic design skills. Good social media marketing skills would be required to capture and grow an audience and gain exposure for both the radio station and client. The role would involve use of Sun FM’s online platform including LocalSunderland.com. This is a 12 month fixed term role with a view to offer a full time permanent position and pay rise after 12 months for the right person. Commission structure and profit share available and a driving license or means of regular transport would be desirable.
