CLASS DESCRIPTION: Learn a life-long pastime! This camp introduces students to the basics of disc golf! Disc golf is a great game, played like golf with “strokes,” or throws, counted from “tee-off” to the “hole,” or target, but played with frisbee-like discs instead of a golf ball. Much easier & less expensive than golf, but all the fun! Campers will spend 3 days on campus learning the basics of the rules, the throwing methods, the different types of discs, & playing on a customizable 6 hole course on the beautiful HH campus. Thursday and Friday, they will be transported by bus to 2 beautiful disc golf courses here in Tulsa to play in teams of 3 supervised by upper-school assistants & teachers! Each camper will go home with a disc golf putter (the most multi-purpose tool in disc golf) of their own!

CLASS DESCRIPTION: Want your rising 7th-9th grader to do some thinking and reading over the summer? Tired of your teens lounging around the house all afternoon playing video games and binging Netflix? How about they discover the influences behind the stories, their video games, and favorite Netflix series! In this course students will discover the mythological roots of their favorite characters. We will read some, watch some, and talk a lot about what connects us to stories and what they tell us about the world in which we live.
