The Procter & Gamble Group is committed in Europe and France to the fight against the coronavirus through a support plan and the mobilization of its ambassadors, to accompany communities, relief organizations and individuals affected by this global crisis. Procter & Gamble has made an initial donation of $10 million in P&G health and personal hygiene products, household products and disinfectant products, as well as a financial contribution of $1 million to the International Federation of Red Cross Societies to support its actions in Europe; donations that cover medical supplies, vital healthcare services and hygiene training for vulnerable people.

These donations will enable Red Cross and Red Crescent volunteers and staff across the continent to continue saving lives and to continue their vital work on the front lines of the fight against VIDOC-19.

In France, the group is committed through several actions.

The Procter & Gamble brands and their ambassadors alongside the French Red Cross

Through its brands - Ariel, Discreet, Braun, Head & Shoulders, , Gillette, Oral- B, Unstoppables, Venus - the Procter & Gamble Group is committed to the French Red Cross with donations to support its action and enable the volunteers and staff of the French Red Cross to continue saving lives and to continue their essential work on the front line of the fight against VIDOC- 19.

This operation is carried out in partnership with 12 ambassadors including Cristina Cordula, Mac Lesggy, Matt Pokora, Caroline Receveur, Nathalie Simon, through the appeal "Together with the Red Cross". On their social networks, the ambassadors act as the voice of the French Red Cross to engage their communities to join its action through a call for donations. The ambassadors are thus reminding people of the need for the Red Cross to carry out its mission to help vulnerable people by supporting the French Red Cross Covid-19 appeal for donations: a comprehensive national operation to respond to the multiple consequences of this crisis. Their actions will be expressed, for example, through the Red Cross in your home, a solidarity service for vulnerable people, in the field of child protection, emergency transport, or some of its establishments.

A daily commitment to our historical partners and our sites

The two Procter & Gamble plants in Amiens and Blois, which have been active in their regions for decades, are working to make hydroalcoholic gel manufactured on site available to local health structures. Each week, 1500 litres of hydroalcoholic solution are produced by the group's factories, a commitment that will be maintained for as long as necessary.

The plants also provide other protective equipment for healthcare professionals: more than 15,000 masks have been supplied, and packages including hats, gloves, overalls and P&G products such as Mr. Clean or Herbal Essences have been provided to the EHPADs.

A daily commitment by P&G France to its long-standing partners, Dons Solidaires and SOS Children's Villages.

In addition, Procter & Gamble has been a partner for more than 15 years of the Dons Solidaires association, which collects unsold goods from companies and redistributes them to 750,000 people in precarious situations. The exceptional conditions linked to the coronavirus have led the company to increase donations and specific commitments. In this respect, 7 lorries of basic necessities leave our warehouses in Amiens every week and more than 1,000 pallets are still waiting to be delivered. In concrete terms, this represents a 1st delivery of donations of more than 220,000 products. This will be followed by weekly deliveries of 100,000 personal hygiene products distributed by Dons Solidaires to the most needy (shampoos, detergents, nappies, razors, toothpaste, sanitary towels).

Since 2014, Procter & Gamble France has also been a sponsor of the SOS Children's Villages association, whose mission is to protect and welcome children. Recently, the company made a donation to support the educational monitoring and development of children's motor skills during confinement, as well as the supply of masks and hydroalcoholic gels to protect the health of children, young people and staff in SOS Villages.

Benjamin Binot, Managing Director France, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg of Procter & Gamble: "In the current situation, it seemed natural to us to support all our long-standing partners as well as local infrastructures and hospitals, both at national and local level. Thanks to the French Red Cross, Dons Solidaires, SOS Children's Villages and our factory employees who are doing their utmost to respond to this unprecedented crisis. We wish to make a long-term commitment and will maintain our actions over time. »

Grégoire Ducret - Deputy Director for Strategy and Innovation at the French Red Cross: "The French Red Cross would like to thank Procter & Gamble for its support, which enables us to tackle this health crisis by helping the most vulnerable people. »
