‘LOVE, OF COURSE’ Cast Bios KELLY RUTHERFORD (Amy) – Best known to television audiences as Blake Lively’s stern mother, aka Lily van der Woodsen, in The CW hit “Gossip Girl,” Kelly Rutherford will soon be starring as a series regular in “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists” and have a recurring role in The CW’s “Dynasty.” She is also well known on the small screen as Megan Lewis Mancini in Darren Star’s “Melrose Place.” Rutherford’s feature film credits include the adventure comedy, The Stream with Mario Lopez and Rainn Wilson, Scream 3, in which she played Christine Hamilton, the action thriller, The Chaos Factor and Swimming Upstream with Matt Czuchry. # # # CAMERON MATHISON (Noah) – Emmy-nominated actor and television host Cameron Mathison was most recently the co-anchor of the most watched entertainment news program in the world, “Entertainment Tonight,” and was recently named co-host of Hallmark Channel’s daily, two-hour lifestyle series, “Home & Family.” In addition to his work with “ET,” Mathison previously served as feature correspondent for “Good Morning America” and “Extra” and co-hosted the “35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.” Mathison has appeared on screen in both film and television and is no stranger to television movies, starring in Hallmark Channel originals including “A Christmas to Remember” opposite Mira Sorvino, “At Home in Mitford,” opposite Andie MacDowell and most recently, “A Summer to Remember” opposite Catherine Bell, and "Very, Very, Valentine" opposite Danica McKellar. In addition, he has starred in multiple projects for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, including “Murder She Baked: Just Desserts,” his fifth movie in the “Murder, She Baked” franchise, following “Murder, She Baked: A Deadly Recipe,” “Murder, She Baked: A Peach Cobbler Mystery,” “Murder, She Baked: A Plum Pudding Murder Mystery,” and “Murder, She Baked: A Chocolate Chip Mystery.” Mathison’s other television movie credits include Hallmark Channel’s “Holidaze,” “The Christmas Ornament,” “Window Wonderland,” “My Gal Sunday” and “Along Came a Nanny,” as well as Lifetime’s “The Wife He Met Online” and “Any Mother’s Son,” and ABC Family’s “See Jane Date.” In September 2007, Mathison joined the cast of ABC’s hit competition series, “Dancing with the Stars,” advancing all the way to week nine. Well known for his fan-favorite role as Ryan Lavery in the daytime series “All My Children,” Mathison earned great acclaim from critics and fans alike, taking home a Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Male Newcomer in 1999, and Daytime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2002 and 2004. Additionally, his hosting duties have included the “33rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” broadcast as the show’s Fan Zone host, ABC’s live world premiere of Walt Disney’s animated feature, Tarzan, SOAPnet’s 2001 Daytime Emmy red carpet special and various E! “Wild On!” specials. He served as the host of SOAPnet’s original reality series, “I Wanna Be a Soap Star.” Mathison resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Vanessa, and their children, Lucas and Leila. # # # MAKENZIE VEGA (Cara) – Still in her mid-20s, Makenzie Vega already has an impressive resume of television and feature film credits to her name. She played Alicia Florrick’s daughter Grace opposite Julianna Margulies in the critically acclaimed television drama “The Good Wife” and earlier appeared in “The Geena Davis Show” on CBS. For feature films, Vega stared in the horror-thriller Fender Bender, and she appeared in Brett Ratner’s The Family Man, with Nicolas Cage. In addition, she was in Jon Favreau’s Made, James Wan’s Saw, Robert Rodriguez’s Sin City, Donald Petrie’s Just My Luck, Brett Ratner’s X-Men: The Last Stand, and Jon Kasdan’s In the Land of Women. Most recently, Vega appeared with Andie MacDowell in Hallmark Channel’s “The Beach House.” Vega was born into a large family of five siblings in Los Angeles to an American mother and a Colombian father, and she is the younger sister of actress Alexa PenaVega. Recognizing the importance of early education and the development of reading skills, she also serves as a spokesperson for Jumpstart, a nationally recognized charitable organization serving the educational needs of inner city children. # # # GABBY DOUGLAS (Maddy) – With three Olympic Gold medals and three World Championship medals under her belt, Gabby Douglas has been the most loved gymnast of this decade. She burst into the hearts and minds of mainstream American in 2012 during the London Olympic Games when she became the first African-American woman to win an Olympic Gold medal in the All-Around individual event. Since then, Douglas has been one of the most influential female athletes in the world and is continuously at the center of pop culture. Douglas began her gymnastics career at the early age of six, and by eight, had already won her first major title as the 2004 Virginia State Champion. It was in London where Douglas made her mark by winning the Gold in both the All-Around Individual and Team competitions at the same Olympics. After the London games, Douglas’ stardom took off and she became a teen sensation. Corporations quickly took note of her popularity and she signed on as a spokesperson for major blue-chip brands including Nike, Capri Sun, Proctor & Gamble, Royal Caribbean, AT&T, Target, McDonald’s and more. Douglas also made appearances on “The Tonight Show” and “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and was named to Barbara Walters’ list as one of the “10 Most Fascinating People of 2012.” In support of President Barack Obama, she led the Pledge of Allegiance at the 2012 Democratic National Convention, was nominated for an ESPY Award, and was named the 2012 Associated Press “Female Athlete of the Year.” Douglas has released two New York Times bestselling books titled Raising the Bar and Grace, Gold, and Glory: My Leap of Faith. In 2013, her life story was portrayed in the Lifetime Network’s movie of the week called “The Gabby Douglas Story” and in the lead up to the 2016 Rio Olympics, her Olympic journey was documented on Oxygen Network’s reality television show, “Douglas Family Gold.” After the London Olympics, Douglas knew she had more to give on the gymnastics floor and decided to do the near impossible – go for another Gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. After overcoming the odds, she successfully made her second Olympic gymnastics team and represented her country once again, winning her third Gold medal in the Team Competition, and making her the only All-Around Olympic Gold medal gymnast in US history to return to a second Olympics. Following the 2016 Games, Douglas continued to be a trailblazer, releasing her own line of lip gloss with “Beauty Bakerie,” and working with the philanthropic group “Hack Harassment” to put an end to cyber bullying.
