On March 11th, Japan experienced one of the worst natural disasters in recorded history, the Great East Japan Earthquake. Despite the unprecedented devastation, Japan has begun to rebuild, with the help of its many friends and allies. The U.S.-Japan Council has been honored to play a role in the relief and rebuilding efforts. As an organization focused on developing strong people-to-people relationships, the U.S.-Japan Council’s leadership felt it was important to step-up and not only establish the USJC Earthquake Relief Fund but also serve as a connector, linking organizations, companies and individuals across the country who wanted to support Japan. -
