Football Union S106 Section 106 TGR Team Generation Rate June 2016 Assessment Report: Knight Kavanagh & Page 1 GRAVESHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL PLAYING PITCH ASSESSMENT PART 1: INTRODUCTION AND METHODOLOGY This is the Playing Pitch Assessment Report prepared by Knight Kavanagh & Page (KKP) for Gravesham Borough Council and its partners. This report presents a supply and demand assessment of playing pitch facilities in accordance with Sport England’s Playing Pitch Strategy Guidance: An approach to developing and delivering a playing pitch strategy. It has been followed to develop a clear picture of the balance between the local supply of, and demand for, playing pitches and other outdoor sports facilities. The guidance details a stepped approach to developing a Playing Pitch Strategy (PPS). These steps are separated into five distinct sections: Stage A: Prepare and tailor the approach (Step 1) Stage B: Gather information and views on the supply of and demand for provision (Steps 2 & 3) Stage C: Assess the supply and demand information and views (Steps 4, 5 & 6) Stage D: Develop the strategy (Steps 7 & 8) Stage E: Deliver the strategy and keep it robust and up to date (Steps 9 & 10) Stages A to C are covered in this report. The context of the study in terms of the priority for National Governing Bodies of Sport is set out in Appendix 1. Stage A: Prepare and tailor the approach Why the PPS is being developed As outlined by the Council in the preparation stages it is undertaking an update of its open space, sport and recreation study. This PPS study will be one of a number of technical studies to help inform future planning policies, planning application negotiations, priorities for improving existing sites and providing new sites, and applications for external funding. This PPS is also in line with targets set out by the Government and Sport England as well as local priorities and plans. All of which are set out in Appendix 1 of this report. The purpose of the updated multi-faceted study is to inform, provide evidence for and make recommendations in context to the: Planning policies on: Locally derived green space, playing pitch and sports provision Protection of existing open space, sports and recreation sites Allocation of sites for new and/or improved open space, sports and recreation facilities, if necessary;

At present the New Barn residential area is split between Dartford Borough, Sevenoaks District and Gravesham Borough; the part situated in Dartford is in the parish of ^outhfleet; the part in Sevenoaks is in the parish of Longfield, whilst the part in Gravesham is unparished. On 30 November 1979» Gravesham Borough Council requested ue to review the boundaries between the districts of Gravesham, Dartford and Sevenoaks in the vicinity of New Barn. Their request was in response to representations from the New Barn Ratepayers Association for the whole of the New Barn residential area to be incorporated within Gravesham Borough. The Association based their representations on a survey of opinion which they carried out in 1978 among the residents of New Barn on the question of whether the area should be under one authority, and if so, which one. The results indicated that a majority (8?#) of residents indicating a view preferred to see New Barn under one authority and a large proportion (6990 of these considered that this should be Gravesham. 2. We noted that Kent County Council, Dartford Borough Council, Sevenoaks District Council, and Longfield Parish Council were all opposed to a review beinp undertaken at that time, although Kent County Council and Dartford BOrough Council did a^ree that the current boundaries in the New Barn area were not wholly satisfactory.

    A Guide to Parish Registers The Kent History and Library Centre Introduction This handlist includes details of original parish registers, bishops' transcripts and transcripts held at the Kent History and Library Centre and Canterbury Cathedral Archives. There is also a guide to the location of the original registers held at Medway Archives and Local Studies Centre and four other repositories holding registers for parishes that were formerly in Kent. This Guide lists parish names in alphabetical order and indicates where parish registers, bishops' transcripts and transcripts are held. Parish Registers The guide gives details of the christening, marriage and burial registers received to date. Full details of the individual registers will be found in the parish catalogues in the search room and community history area. The majority of these registers are available to view on microfilm.     DETERMINED ADMISSION POLICY AND OVERSUBSCRIPTION CRITERIA. MAYFIELD GRAMMAR SCHOOL, GRAVESEND FOR SEPTEMBER 2021. Mayfield Grammar School, Gravesend is an 11-18 Girls Grammar School, with one main admission age group at 11+. Boys are admitted into the sixth form. Admission to Year 7 Year 7 applications are normally for children born between 1 September 2009 and 31 August 2010. Girls who attain the required standard through the Kent PESE procedure for selection at eleven by reference to ability will be eligible to be considered for admission to the school. Girls who have taken part in the Kent PESE procedure will also be eligible for admission if they reach the required standard through the Mayfield procedure. The Mayfield procedure is an optional, additional opportunity to be assessed eligible. The school has an agreed admission number of 210 for entry into Year 7. The school will accordingly admit at least 210 pupils in the relevant age group each year if sufficient applications from eligible girls are received. Oversubscription Criteria Before the application of oversubscription criteria, eligible girls with a Statement of Special Educational Need or an Education, Health and Care Plan, which names the school will be admitted. As a result of this the published admission number will be reduced accordingly. If the number of eligible girls who apply is higher than the number of places available, places will be allocated in the following priority order: 1. A ‘looked after child’ or a child who was previously looked after but immediately after being looked after became subject to an adoption, child arrangements or special guardianship order.

    Mayfield Grammar School Gravesend NEWSLETTER SUMMER 2017 Another school year draws to an end and we look forward not only to our Summer break but also to the days in August when our A Level, GCSE and AS Level candidates return to school to collect their results. Despite the reduction in student numbers during the Summer months life in school has been extremely busy. There have been a number of visits and trips during this term and a number of sporting fixtures and Duke of Edinburgh events that have been well supported by staff and pupils. In school our two Curriculum Enrichment Days were a huge success with various events and activities taking place across the school. Many thanks to Mrs Jones and all other staff for organising these activities. I know all our pupils greatly appreciated the efforts and support of staff. In addition our annual Graduation Ball recently took place for all those Year 13 students who have now completed their time with us. My thanks to the Parents’ Association, Mrs Absolon, and the Premises and Catering staff for making the event such a huge success. As Year 13 students depart for pastures new we also welcomed Year 6 pupils into the school as part of their Induction day in preparation for joining us in September. My thanks to all our current pupils, but particularly Year 7 girls for making our “guests” feel so welcome. I know all the Year 6 pupils had a thoroughly enjoyable day and my thanks also to Mr Gordon, Mrs Kemp and Miss Etherington for all their efforts in organising this event and for the many Primary School visits they and other staff have undertaken in the last few weeks.
