( ROAD, ) (TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT AND TEMPORARY REVOCATION OF 40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2016

NOTICE is hereby given that Somerset County Council proposes to make the above Order in pursuance of the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary 30 mph speed limit on the length of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

The Order is required to facilitate highway works and is necessary for the safety of the workforce whilst carrying out their duties. The restrictions may not be effected for the whole period but it is anticipated that the road will be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.

The Order becomes effective on the 28th April 2016 and will remain in force for eighteen months.

SOMERSET COUNTY COUNCIL (FROME ROAD, BRUTON) (TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT AND TEMPORARY REVOCATION OF 40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2016

SOMERSET COUNTY COUNCIL in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act of 1984 HEREBY MAKES THE FOLLOWING ORDER:-

1 This Order shall come into operation on the 28th day of April 2016 and shall remain in force for eighteen months.
