We are delighted to worship with you. Visitors can expect a warm welcome from your worshiping neighbor and others! Baptism of Our Lord January 12, 2020 10:30 a.m. Light to the World In the waters of the Jordan, Jesus is revealed as the be- loved Son of God. Through this great epiphany, Jesus fulfills all righteousness and becomes the servant of God who will bring forth justice and be a light to the na- tions. In the waters of baptism we too are washed by the Word, anointed by the Spirit, and named God’s be- loved children. Joined with Christ, we are then light to the world along with him, proclaiming good news to all who are oppressed or in need of God’s healing. Style: Worship in response to God’s grace with a variety of music, a gospel message in an informal style, Holy Communion, and special opportunities for children as nurtured in awakening faith. Children of all ages are always welcome in Worship! Activity Bags are available on the hooks below the nametags in the entryway. Also grab children’s bulletins from the ushers! Nursery care is also available for children 5 and under, through the Fellowship Hall door and to the right. Parents may also use the room di- rectly behind the Sanctuary, which has quiet toys and sound. Ushers will gladly assist you. All: Please indicate your presence using the tear-off form on the announcement insert and placing it in the offering plate when the offering is collected. Legend: Bold words are for all to speak. Please join in singing all the songs as printed in the bulletin. Music for songs noted ELW may be found in the red hymnal in the pew racks. After worship: Greet those around you, and join us for refreshments in the room directly behind the Sanctuary. Thus says God, the LORD, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and what comes from it, who gives breath to the people upon it 6 and spirit to those who walk in it: I am the LORD, I have called you in righteousness, I have taken you by the hand and kept you; I have 7 given you as a covenant to the people, a light to the nations to open the eyes that are blind, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, 8 from the prison those who sit in darkness.
