Also for Adam and his wife the Lord God made tunics of skin, and clothed them. Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— 23 therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. 24 So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.
Important BIBLE FACTS about Adam & Eve: GENESIS 1 — God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) created the world in 6 days. On the 7th day, God rested. GENESIS 2 — God created Adam (the first man) and Eve (the first woman) in His own image. GENESIS 2 — 2 trees in the Garden of Eden: the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil and the Tree of Life. GENESIS 3 — Satan came as a serpent to tempt Eve to eat of the forbidden tree. Adam also sinned. GENESIS 3 — After Adam & Eve ate of the tree, SIN entered the world, bringing separation from God, and death. GENESIS 3 — Adam & Eve clothed themselves with leaves. God clothed them with animal skins (blood sacrifice). GENESIS 4 — ADAM & EVE had many children including Cain and Abel and Seth (they are parents of all people).
Personal Life-Applications from the Example of Adam & Eve: All people are created in God’s own image. Before sin, everything was good. Adam walked and talked with God. Satan brings temptation, through deception, lust, sin, and greed. We need to be on guard against his temptation. Through self-effort people try to cover sin (like Adam & Eve and the leaves); But only Christ’s blood can save us. The curse of sin included thorns on the earth. Jesus bore our sins on the cross (and wore a crown of thorns). ROMANS 5:12-20 — Through Adam, death came to all people on earth. Through Christ, salvation came.
