INTRODUCTION Ahe Productive Rural 2nfrastructure Development Project in the Central Highlands 5Ahe Project, 2014-20196 aims to rehabilitate and upgrade e4isting but deteriorated critical productive rural infrastructure in the 5 provinces 5Lam Dong, Da 8ong, Da La , Gia Lai and Jon Aum6 of the Central Highlands. Ahe long-term purpose of the project is to contribute to hungry alleviation and poverty reduction programs of the Government through sustainable development of the society, ecology and environment at community levels by developing infrastructures for production, improving socio- economic conditions and living standards of people in the area. Viet Nam country has population of more than 94 millions of people and quite large of forest area, about 36% of total natural area. In Viet Nam, many ethinic minority groups like living in area with hill mountain or jungle and living in the forest has created themselves very personal characteristics both cuture and awareness. However, along with socio - economic development, forest area of Viet Nam has increasingly shrinked and the question of how to effectively protect the existing forests and ensure the life of the ethinic minority groups which are living in the forest area need to be resolved. In fact, there have been many policies regarding forest management and ensuring social security to the ethnic minority groups promulgated and applied, and the policy of allocating and contracting forest for protection is one of those policies. Nevertheless, there is no research regarding assessment of effectiveness of applying the policy, hence proposing meassures to improve the effectveness of this policy.

History of the Bahnar in Kontum, Central Highlands of Vietnam, 1850-1945” NGUYEN DANG Anh Minh PhD student Ecole Pratique des Hauts Etudes (EPHE) Centre d’Asie du Sud-Est (CASE) Thanks to the scholarship of Ecole Française d’Extrême-Orient (EFEO) and the scholarship of Pres-HéSam (Pôle de recherche et d’enseignement supérieur et Hautes études, Sorbonne, Arts et Métiers (Hésam) as well as a grant from The History Project and the Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET), I was able to undertake a research project in Central Highlands of Vietnam over one year, from 1 October 2015 to 31 September 2016. My research plan included three main activities: consulting documents in different archives in Vietnam; conducting fieldwork in the Central Highlands; and writing my thesis and articles based on the research completed during these trips. Over nearly five months, I worked in three National Centres of Archives (N° 1, N° 3, N° 5). In National Centre of Archives No 4 in Dalat, I consulted more than 600 documents related to land issues in the Highlands from 1890 to 1954 in four archives. In National Centre of Archives No 1 in Hanoi, I found the only register of land in Kontum and consulted documents related to Viet immigrants in Bahnar’s land in Binh Dinh in the 18th century. The two wind farms IaPet-Dak Doa 1 and IaPet-Dak Doa 2 are both located in the Dak Doa district of Gia Lai province in the country’s central highlands and will have a capacity of 100 megawatts each. The wind farms are part of Vietnam’s ongoing Power Development Master Plan to further push the integration of renewable energy sources and to enhance the power supply. “The Dak Doa wind farm project is another excellent project demonstrating how digitalization is providing the technical basis for the most efficient use of renewable energy sources,” says Beatrix Natter, Executive Vice President Transmission at Siemens Energy. “With the order of our Sensproducts TRE chose a future-proof transmission system and I am proud that our digital portfolio will play a distinct role in fostering the integration of wind energy in Vietnam.” Siemens Energy will equip the substation connecting the wind farm with the national grid.
