Palavras-chave: Grindhouse; Cult; Filme B; Nouvelle Vague; Godard ______________________________________________________________________ Introdução Em 28 de janeiro de 2007 , o escritor Whitney Joiner explicava o que os diretores Quentin Tarantino e Robert Rodriguez pretendiam com o projeto Grindhouse : Na visão dos cineastas, "Grindhouse" é um presente àqueles que esqueceram, ou perderam, a experiência de assistir filmes de gênero B, como os que eram exibidos nas décadas de 1950, 1960 e 1970, os quais vendiam o que não era explorado pelos grandes estúdios: geralmente sexo e sangue derramado. Os filmes, frequentemente exibidos um após o outro, tinham cartazes pomposos que prometiam mais do que suas absurdas produções de baixo orçamento poderiam oferecer (...) Às vezes, até os locais de exibição eram assustadores 3(JOINER, 2007). Ellis, 2006). It will cover each film's conception, production history, release, reception and ongoing half-life. But special focus will be given in each case to the online activities of the fans, be it creating fan art or spreading word of these particular films. Specifically, this thesis will discuss online fan activity pertaining to both films, and how each film and fan activities related to each fit in the context of fan studies and cult studies.

The 1980s is a formative decade in American history. America sought to reestablish itself as a global power and to reassert the dominant ideology of white, patriarchal capitalism. Likewise, media producers in the 1980s sought to reassert the dominance of the white, male, muscled body in filmic representations. The identity politics of the 1980s and the depictions of the white, muscled body once prominent in the 1980s have been the site of conservative nostalgia for a young, male-dominated, cult audience that is a subset of a larger cultural trend known as retro film culture. This thesis provides historical context behind the populist 1980s B- action films from Cannon Group, Inc that celebrate violent masculinity in filmic representations with white, male action heroes. Equally important is the revival of VHS collecting and how this 1980s-inspired subculture reinforces white, patriarchal capitalism through the cult films they valorize and their capitalistic trading practices despite their claims of oppositionality against mainstream taste and Hollywood films.

    The actress Manuela Vellés is the star of the poster for the Horror and Fantasy Film Festival of San Sebastián (October 29 – November 4) The actress from Madrid Manuela Vellés, star of films like Chaotic Ana (2007) and Kidnapped (2010), shown in the past edition of the festival, is the personality for the poster for the 2011 Horror and Fantasy Film Festival which will take place from the 29 October to 4 November. The poster was designed, as in past years, by the Ytantos studio. The photograph, taken in the stalls of the Teatro Principal, epicentre and soul of the Festival since its birth, is by José Luis López de Zubiria. Manuela Vellés Manuela Vellés (Madrid, 1987) took different theatre training courses: Acting course with Jorge Eines, The Actors Centre of London… She arrived on the Spanish silver screen at the hands of Julio Medem, as the star of his film Chaotic Ana (2007). Later she played the role of the sister of Camino (2008), under the direction of Javier Fesser. Later she starred in Retornos (2010), by Luis Avilés, and Kidnapped (2010), by Miguel Ángel Vivas.
