Goa is also one of the few power surplus states in the country, and has achieved 100 per cent rural electrification in 2011-12. Fourth-highest road • Goa has the fourth-highest road density in the country; road density was 285.5 km per 100 density in India sq km as of March 2012 against the national average of 142 km. • According to 2011 census data, Goa has the fourth-highest literacy rate in the country at High literacy rate 88.7 per cent against the national average of 73.0 per cent. -
