This includes a restriction to a four day “week” on “our” section. Thus from Lock 21() to Lock 38 (Bowling) passage is on 4 days Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, 8.30am to 5.30pm. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday an extra £90 will be levied to get passage assistance either up or down the lock system. The funding seems so bad that the only way Scottish Canals can keep money to do maintenance is to close the western reaches between Maryhill and Bowling from Tuesday to Thursday.
