1. My big smile is one of my most redeeming features! I’m usually on the chunkier side, with muscles many would die for. My strength can be taken advantage of by the wrong person, which sadly means that many of my breed are found in rescue centres. Some refer to me as the ‘Nanny Dog’, because we are known to get on well with children.

2. Bonjour! I originate from the beautiful country of France. I am small but chunky and have the cutest round ears, similar to those of an adorable mouse! My tail is like a tiny nub, which some people think has been docked, but I’m just born that way!

3. My coat is medium length and often comes in two or three colours. I am seriously clever and always like to be on the go! I am skilled at many canine sports including agility and flyball. Many of my breed are used in the farming world, as we love to herd!

4. I am small and shiny as a conker! Some say that I am a real ‘American Gentleman’ because of my well-mannered demeanour, but I can be very zany! My coat resembles a tuxedo, which adds to my glamour. You’ll find my home across the pond, in the United States.

5. I am small and incredibly dainty. I have a much larger counterpart, known to many for their history in the racing world. I wouldn’t dream of racing though, and prefer to go out for coffee and a spin, preferably in a Ferrari. You may associate my country of origin with pizza, pasta and a lovely sunny climate.
