Brigadier Tibbets was the pilot of the bomber Enola Gay, which on the 6th August 1945 dropped the Atomic Bomb on the Japanese City of Hiroshima. Today this is can be looked at in two ways, thousands of people sadly lost their lives, but then it can also be argued that this act brought World War II to an early end and possibly saved many more people being killed.

Whatever your viewpoint, as the pilot he is one of the key RAF signatures in any World War II collection. Years ago we sent him two small lots of American covers which he agreed to sign. These are all illustrated postmarked on the actual key dates:

CL171 www.buckinghamcovers.com 61 IN OUR OPINION THE BEST FIRST DAY COVER ALBUM ON THE MARKET!

I looked at the available luxury albums and decided that the Safe 800 series was the best for our Buckingham Covers. The 14 ring mechanism is quality nickel-plated easy to use and only available from Safe. The album lies perfectly flat and you can remove pages or covers easily. It has two heavy-duty sheet lifters. The luxury binder is padded and the matching slip-case again looks quality as indeed it is. The leaves are the best available and your first day covers look superb. Yes, they sound expensive with only 11 leaves, but we are selling them well below the proper price so they are a bargain.

ALB01 £70 Blue £70 ALB01A £70 Red including ALB05 £70 postage Blue album for smiler sheets or 45 Extra leaves are available tokens at £12.50 for 10 ALB01L £12.50 Double Leaves Covers not included ALB05L £12.50 Single Leaves

Album without slip case - It sounds ridiculous but the slip case is very expensive to produce, so, if you prefer, we can supply the album without a slip case at 01303 £50 including postage. 278137 THE COVER ALBUM BARGAIN WE KEEP SECRET! £20 POST FREE

SCA01B £20 Rail Album Outside *Polypropylene is a clear material which according to the experts is totally You can also claim safe. Some album leaves are dangerous as they suck out ink from the covers. PVC in particular can be lethal to your covers and if you have old one for 18 tokens PVC pages in albums the leaves should be replaced.
