RTL CBS Asia Entertainment Network has sealed a carriage deal with PCCW Now, Hong Kong’s leading pay-TV operator and one of the world’s largest commercial deployments of IPTV. Singapore – 10 February 2015

8 NEW MOVIE FUN WITH CLIPFISH RTL Interactive

Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland is further expanding its presence on smart TV sets with Clipfish by launching an ad-financed Smart TV movie channel. Germany – 6 February 2015

With over 800 movies, Clipfish will offer a varied and free of charge range of films from the start. It includes films such as the American thriller Bad Lieutenant featuring Nicolas Cage and Eva Mendes in a free webstream premiere for Germany, Monster starring Oscar winner Charlize Theron, and the action film Hostage with Bruce Willis. The offer will be gradually expanded with movies of all genres. The new Smart TV channel will be advertised in TV commercials broadcast on the channels of Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland.

Alongside the video-on-demand content offered by the Now family, the interactive music television channel dooloop.tv, the ’Fitness & Yoga‘ channel, and the already existing four Clipfish channels (Music, Comedy, Anime, Series), ’Clipfish Filme’ is already the eleventh video content offer from Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland based on the HbbTV standard (Hybrid broadcast broadband TV). 9 SUCCESSFUL PREMIERE AT THE BERLINALE UFA Fiction / RTL Television

In addition to the cast, the makers of the film were also in attendance at the ‘Haus der Berliner Festspiele’ as the first two episodes were presented to the film industry, to journalists and to several select Berlinale visitors. The screening ended to thundering applause, and the entire cast stepped up on stage to answer the moderator’s questions.

Afterwards, RTL Television, UFA Fiction and FremantleMedia International (FMI) jointly hosted a reception at Bertelsmann’s Berlin premises to celebrate the premiere in style.

Wosch has many years of experience in comedy as a producer, writer and director. Wosch also works as a radio presenter. He will continue to present the afternoon programme Die schöne Woche on Radioeins.
