We had also planned a Summer Ramble this month, through the woods to the Le De Spencers Arms, but chose a very wet day, so went by car to the pub and enjoyed another delicious lunch. Our August speaker was Jeff Roselaar talking about 'An Actor's Life for Me'. We had heard Jeff before and always enjoyed his talks. So far, we have been creating some leaf art, making bird feeders, playing with coloured rice, building in the play sand and making different creatures out of playdough! There is always a story to listen to or songs to sing along with too! While the grown-ups can enjoy a nice cup of tea or coffee, the children can enjoy a fabulous selection of healthy snacks.

We were very lucky to have had a visit from Dan Smith, the tennis coach from Lacey Green & Loosley Row Tennis Club, who did a fun Toddler Tennis coaching session. The children had a great time ‘walking the dog’ and ‘frying sausages in a pan’ and the highlight was having a go at hitting the balls over the net! Thank you to Dan for delivering such a fantastic session which was perfect for the toddlers at playgroup to get an introduction to tennis!

There are lots more activities planned in the build up to Christmas, so do come along if you can.

There will be no toddler group on Tuesday 29th October (half- term) and our last session of the term will be on Tuesday 17th December, when we will be having our Christmas party!
