SOMERSET COUNTY COUNCIL A359 BURTS HILL TO NUNNEY CATCH ROUNDABOUT PARISHES OF WANSTROW AND TRUDOXHILL TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT ORDER 2016 NOTICE is hereby given that Somerset County Council proposes to make the above Order in pursuance of the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary 30 mph speed limit on the length of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The Order is required to facilitate the installation of 3327m of 125mm PE water main along the A359 and is necessary for the safety of the workforce whilst carrying out their duties. The restrictions may not be effected for the whole period but it is anticipated that the road will be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. The Order becomes effective on the 10th November 2016 and will remain in force for eighteen months. PATRICK FLAHERTY Chief Executive Dated: 27th October 2016 SCHEDULE 1 Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit A359 Burts Hill to Nunney Catch Roundabout from the junction with Brickyard Lane north eastwards for a distance of 3437 meters SOMERSET COUNTY COUNCIL A359 BURTS HILL TO NUNNEY CATCH ROUNDABOUT PARISHES OF WANSTROW AND TRUDOXHILL TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT ORDER 2016 SOMERSET COUNTY COUNCIL in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act of 1984 HEREBY MAKES THE FOLLOWING ORDER:- 1 This Order shall come into operation on the 10th November 2016 and shall remain in force for eighteen months. The restrictions may not be effected for the whole period but it is anticipated that the road will be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. 2 No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour on the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this Order. 3 This Order is required to facilitate highway works and is necessary for the safety of the workforce whilst carrying out their duties. 4 This Order shall be cited as the Somerset County Council, A359 Burts Hill to Nunney Catch Roundabout, Parishes of Wanstrow and Trudoxhill, Temporary 30mph Speed Limit Order 2016.
