The PRIDE Organisation Ruleset has some important variations from the standard UFC® rules: • Elbow strikes are not allowed. • Soccer kicks, foot stomps and knees to the head of a grounded opponent are legal. These extremely powerful strikes can finish an opponent in a hurry. • Fights take place in a square ring that is smaller than The Octagon™, forcing fighters to pay more attention to their positioning. • In PRIDE fights, the first round is always 10 minutes long, and subsequent rounds are 5 minutes long. • In a decision, judges evaluate the fight as a whole (not on a round-by-round basis as is typical in UFC®). • PRIDE judges also base their decision on which fighter dealt the most damage and displayed the most aggression. Actively throwing strikes, performing submissions and getting into positions where the fight could be finished score big points with PRIDE judges. Knee to the Head of Downed ≈ / Ω or å + ≈ / Ω while on top in certain ground Opponent positions Foot Stomp to Face of Downed Left stick toward opponent + ≈ / Ω Opponent ∂ (successful block results in greater opportunity to Block Foot Stomp stand up— press B) ≈ / Ω after opponent’s takedown fails, or opponent is Soccer Kick rocked and down on all fours, or you rock the opponent from Sprawl Position with a Technique Kick 4 LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, IT’S TIME! WARNING Before playing this game, read the Xbox One system, and accessory manuals for important safety and health information. www.xbox.com/support. Important Health Warning: Photosensitive Seizures A very small percentage of people may experience a seizure when exposed to certain visual images, including flashing lights or patterns that may appear in video games. Even people with no history of seizures or epilepsy may have an undiagnosed condition that can cause “photosensitive epileptic seizures” while watching video games. Symptoms can include light-headedness, altered vision, eye or face twitching, jerking or shaking of arms or legs, disorientation, confusion, momentary loss of awareness, and loss of consciousness or convulsions that can lead to injury from falling down or striking nearby objects. Immediately stop playing and consult a doctor if you experience any of these symptoms. Parents, watch for or ask children about these symptoms—children and teenagers are more likely to experience these seizures. The risk may be reduced by being farther from the screen; using a smaller screen; playing in a well-lit room, and not playing when drowsy or fatigued. If you or any relatives have a history of seizures or epilepsy, consult a doctor before playing. O 4573 Campbells Run Road Pittsburgh, PA 15205 The Independent Regulatory Review Commission 333 Market Street, 14th Floor Harrisburg, PA 17101 March 6, 2013 Dear IRRC Commissioners: My name is Michael Morrow from Fight Club Pittsburgh MMA. I have read many ofthe comments that have been sent to you and I am in agreement with most of them. I find myself in total agreement with Evolve MMA gym owner Mr. John Cook. We also have seventeen professional fighters and over twenty amateur fighters. Although we find ourselves in opposing corners on occasion, Mr. Cook's comments about this proposed rules change are 100% accurate. The fact that he is actually a business owner from Ohio and he sees the damage the current rules in Pennsylvania have done to the development of Mixed Martial Arts in Pennsylvania as well as what a disadvantage they are to our current fighters should speak volumes. I must say that I most respectfully disagree with the letter written by Mr. Thomas H. DeWall, CAE, the Executive Director ofthe Pennsylvania Psychological Association. I noticed that Mr. DeWall wrote the letter on a letterhead from the American Psychological Association. Since his opinion expresses what he feels are the dangers of these proposed rules changes, I feel it is fair to question his medical qualifications to do so.

Headlining thespians on Broadway and star Hollywood actors actively study their lines, practice the characters they are meant to emulate, and bring them to life on the stage or silver screen. The best scripts and the most talented actors are able to reproduce the exact actions and reactions these characters would have in the social situations they are placed in. A particularly stubborn baker can be expected to lose his cool when a new employee leaves a pie in the oven too long. A charming school teacher is expected to hold the attention of her students better than the off-putting and critical teacher down the hall. There are also social recipes in film.
