ASU had tied two top-10 teams two seasons ago, but never earned a true victory. • In week six, the Sun Devils cracked the USCHO top-20 poll for the first time in program history at No. 18. Nov. 10 vs. Michigan State W, 2-0 • In week seven, the Sun Devils earned their first come from behind victory entering the third period, while also Nov. 16 at Harvard L, 1-4 capturing the first win in the Boston area with a 3-2 overtime victory over Harvard. • In week eight, ASU broke the program record for wins in a season with their 11th of the year. Nov. 17 at Harvard W, 3-2 (OT) • In week nine, the Sun Devils scored their fastest goal in program history, going up 1-0 just 15 seconds into the Nov. 23 at Omaha L, 4-6 (EN) game on Friday vs. Princeton. • In week 10, the Sun Devils erased a two-goal deficit in a come-from-behind win for the first time ever at home, Nov. 24 at Omaha L, 0-4 and the first two-goal comeback since at New Hampshire in 2016. Dec. 7 at Princeton W, 4-0 Dec. 8 at Princeton W, 3-2 (OT) THE HERO WE DESERVE Dec. 14 vs. Colorado College W, 4-2 • Saturday was the third time this season that sophomore forward JOHNNY WALKER scored either the game- tying or game-winning goal, as he tied hte game 2-2 with 26 seconds left vs. #3/8 Minnesota State. Dec. 15 vs. Colorado College W, 4-0 • WALKER has five goals in his last four games to extend his NCAA lead to 18. He now holds a five-goal lead Desert Hockey Classic - Glendale, Az.. atop the charts over Penn State’s Evan Barratt, who is currently playing for Team USA at the IIHF World Junior Championships. His 18 goals also breaks his own record for most goals by a Sun Devil in program history. Dec. 28 vs. #19 Clarkson* L, 0-3 • His contributions usually lead to team success based on the first half of the season. When tallying at least a Dec. 29 vs. #3/8 Minnesota State* T, 2-2 point, the Sun Devils are 11-2-1. They’re 3-5-0 when he is held scoreless. Jan. 4 vs. Boston College 7:05 PM • WALKER has nine multi-point games and five multi-goal performances, and has surpassed last season’s goal total of 17 in 11 fewer games.
