The next block of matches sees the return of Thursday night football with matches in South Australia, Western Australia and Queensland featuring in these primetime slots, commencing with a blockbuster between Port Adelaide and Geelong Cats in Adelaide in Round 13. ‘Play On’ with Big Freeze on the Queen’s Birthday Monday feutures as Melbourne host Collingwood at the MCG. From a crowd full of blue beanies to the famous slide, the Queen’s Birthday event is now into its seventh season, shining a light on Neale Daniher and his fight against motor neurone disease. Daniher and the FightMND team have led the way in raising funds and awareness, committing more than $45 million to research initiatives. Round 13 will also see St Kilda head to the Queensland tropics for Saturday night footy, with a clash against the Adelaide Crows at Cazalys Stadium in Cairns. 12 of the 18 clubs will have a BYE across Rounds 13 and 14. AFL Head of Broadcasting and Scheduling, Marcus King, said it was great to have Thursday night footy back. “Thursday night primetime footy returns with three huge match ups across three different states.” Mr King said. “With the support of the AFLPA and clubs, we can utilise up to one five-day break per club subject to certain parameters and this has helped in achieving and optimising this next block of Thursday matches”. Mr King also welcomed football back to Cairns after the city played a big part in assisting the AFL through the 2020 season. “The city of Cairns has been a long-time supporter of AFL premiership matches, including hosting four matches during the 2020 season, and it is great for the fans of St Kilda and the Crows, as well as fans in Queensland, to attend and host a Saturday night fixture at Cazalys Stadium.” 2021 Toyota AFL Premiership Season - Rounds 13 - 15 Australian Football League PREMIER PARTNER AFL House 140 Harbour Esplanade Docklands Victoria 3008 Telephone 613 9643 1999 Facsimile 613 96431871 All correspondence to GPO Box 1449 Melbourne Victoria 3001 Australia www.afl.com.au ABN 97 489 912 318 INSTITUTED 1896 - 2 - Round Thirteen Thursday, Jun 10 STADIUM (NETWORK) EST LOCAL Port Adelaide vs. Geelong Cats Adelaide Oval (SEVEN) 7:40pm 7:10pm Friday, Jun 11 STADIUM (NETWORK) EST LOCAL Sydney Swans vs. Hawthorn SCG (SEVEN) 7:50pm 7:50pm Saturday, Jun 12 STADIUM (NETWORK) EST LOCAL Fremantle vs. Gold Coast SUNS Optus Stadium (FOX) 4:15pm 2:15pm St Kilda vs. Adelaide Crows Cazalys Stadium (SEVEN) 7:25pm 7:25pm Sunday, Jun 13 STADIUM (NETWORK) EST LOCAL North Melbourne vs. GWS GIANTS Blundstone Arena (FOX) 3:20pm 3:20pm Monday, Jun 14 STADIUM (NETWORK) EST LOCAL Melbourne vs. Collingwood MCG (SEVEN) 3.20pm 3.20pm Byes: Brisbane Lions, Carlton, Essendon, Richmond, West Coast Eagles, Western Bulldogs Round Fourteen Thursday, Jun 17 STADIUM (NETWORK) EST LOCAL West Coast Eagles vs. Richmond Optus Stadium (SEVEN) 8.10pm 6.10pm Friday, Jun 18 STADIUM (NETWORK) EST LOCAL Geelong Cats vs. Western Bulldogs GMHBA Stadium (SEVEN) 7:50pm 7:50pm Saturday, Jun 19 STADIUM (NETWORK) EST LOCAL Gold Coast SUNS vs. Port Adelaide Metricon Stadium (FOX) 1.45pm 1.45pm North Melbourne vs. Brisbane Lions Marvel Stadium (FOX) 4.35pm 4.35pm GWS GIANTS vs. Carlton GIANTS Stadium (SEVEN) 7.25pm 7.25pm Sunday, Jun 20 STADIUM (NETWORK) EST LOCAL Hawthorn vs. Essendon MCG (FOX) 3:20pm 3:20pm Byes: Adelaide CroWs, CollingWood, Fremantle, Melbourne, St Kilda, Sydney Swans - 3 - Round Fifteen Thursday, Jun 24 STADIUM (NETWORK) EST LOCAL Brisbane Lions vs. Geelong Cats The Gabba (SEVEN) 7.20pm 7.20pm Friday, Jun 25 STADIUM (NETWORK) EST LOCAL Richmond vs. St Kilda MCG (SEVEN) 7.50pm 7.50pm Saturday, Jun 26 STADIUM (NETWORK) EST LOCAL North Melbourne vs. Gold Coast SUNS Blundstone Arena (FOX) 1:45pm 1:45pm Collingwood vs. Fremantle Marvel Stadium (FOX) 4:35pm 4:35pm Essendon vs. Melbourne MCG (SEVEN) 7.25pm 7.25pm Port Adelaide vs. Sydney Swans Adelaide Oval (FOX) 7.40pm 7.10pm Sunday, Jun 27 STADIUM (NETWORK) EST LOCAL GWS GIANTS vs. Hawthorn GIANTS Stadium (FOX) 1:10pm 1:10pm West Coast Eagles vs. Western Bulldogs Optus Stadium (SEVEN) 3.20pm 1.20pm Carlton vs. Adelaide Crows Marvel Stadium (FOX) 4:40pm 4:40pm -ends- .
