LEROIDESANIMAUX (BRZ) stalked the early pace from outside, made a three wide move to challenge on the turn, gained a narrow lead in upper stretch, battled inside the winner leaving the furlong marker then held well for the place. GORELLA (FR) steadied behind FUNFAIR along the backstretch, raced in traffic on the turn, lacked room in upper stretch, steadied leaving the furlong marker, angled to the inside and rallied belatedly along the rail. WHIPPER was unhurried for a half while saving ground, swung three wide while launching his bid in traffic between horses on the turn, checked inside LIMEHOUSE and angled out leaving the furlong marker and rallied belatedly between horses through the final sixteenth. MAJORS CAST (IRE) was in hand early, steadied in traffic along the backstretch, advanced five wide on the turn, gained steadily to reach contention in midstretch and improved his position with a mild late rally in the middle of the track. LIMEHOUSE raced in the middle of the pack while four wide for six furlongs, gained a bit from outside in upper stretch, lodged a mild bid nearing the furlong marker and lacked a strong closing response. HOST (CHI) broke awkwardly and steadied in the early stages, raced far back to the turn while saving ground, swung out at the quarter pole, lacked room in upper stretch then darted to the rail, checked sharply inside the eighth pole and failed to threaten thereafter. SINGLETARY raced up close while three wide along the backstretch, lodged a bid four wide on the turn, drew within striking distance outside the leaders in upper stretch and flattened out. AD VALOREM set or forced the pace for six furlongs and faltered. VALIXIR (IRE) checked at the start, never reached contention while wide throughout. SAND SPRINGS dueled early along the rail and gave way on the far turn. FUNFAIR (GB) broke down along the backstretch and was vanned off. Copyright 2009 Equibase Company LLC. All Rights Reserved..
