Minute Man Alarm Hawaii- Earl and Ione Berard of Moose Jaw, had just landed from the Big Island and were travelling in a shuttle bus from the airport to their Waikiki Hotel when their cell phone [and others phones] sounded the horn buzzing alarm at 0845 telling them a Minute Man Missile was on it’s way and would arrive in a few minutes and that this was for real and that it was not a false alarm! Orders were given as to what to do. About 10 minutes later the alarm again buzzed and told us it was all a mistake. It was a false alarm! Thank God for that! Sincere condolences to his dedicated wife, Shirley. A very sad time in the lives of the Shury Family My youngest grandson, Zachery Shury, was the light of my life. He died January 28, 2018, after suffering terribly the previous 13 weeks while hospitalized. Zac, as he liked to be called, and yes, spelled ZAC, had his 21st birthday November 13, 2017. He was the most loving boy with the most contagious smile that lit up the room and made your heart happy. Everyone loved him. All the family, especially his three brothers, Broc, Jared and Dane, miss him terribly, but I miss him so much it hurts! Sincere thanks and appreciation to the hundreds of people that attended his “Celebration of Life”, provided food, flowers, comforting words through emails, phone calls, letters and cards. So many to thank! Greatly appreciated! Editor Jane Shury DONATIONS [received since last newsletter] Janet Anderson, N. Battleford, SK Bob & Dayle Armstrong, Saskatoon, SK Reg F.
