He also spent three years in the AFL, with the Iowa Barnstormers and the Columbus Destroyers. Currently, he is the starting quarterback in the AFL for the Philadelphia Soul. Colgate running back Kenny Gamble (1986-87) Gamble, the winner of the first ever Walter Payton Award as the best player in Division 1-AA in 1987, was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2002. The Kansas City Chiefs drafted him in the 10th round, and he played for them for three seasons, amassing 24 yards and one touchdown. After his NFL career, he began working for Reebok, and today he is Reebok’s Vice President and General Manager in the Sports Licensing Division. Holy Cross running back Gordie Lockbaum (1986-87) Lockbaum was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1988 NFL Draft. He is now the Vice President at the Sullivan Insurance Group in Worcester. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2001.
