FROM THE BISHOP’S DESK

Greetings ByFaith Family and Friends, Here we are, presenting our third National Virtual conference and I am certain that many of us are eager to regather; however, we recognize the sovereign hand of . The Apostle Paul said to the Ephesian , “…God works all things according to the counsel of His will” (Eph.1:11). So, let us resign our wills to His and prepare our minds for what He has in store. Our Summer Camp Meeting is a time that we not only look forward to warm fellowship, but also inspirational preaching in a relaxed environment. That is what we should expect during this online gathering. Our theme for this conference is, “A Work in Progress.” This thought was derived from Philippians 1:6 which reads, “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ.” The church has been scattered for more than a year and it feels to some like it is losing ground and the Lord’s work is almost at a halt. A Gallup survey has suggested that the pandemic will have a long-term detrimental impact, and some may never return to the church. They further suggest that “ will have to adjust to an ever-smaller piece of the spiritual pie.” I refuse to accept these findings because it was God who started this work, and He is well able to finish what He instituted. We have the amazing privilege of continuing in the work that God started! Our nation remains increasingly divided and the gap in ideologies is getting wider. However, Jesus is still the answer, and the church is the only hope of this world. This conference promises to inspire and challenge us (the church of the living God) to continue in the work we are called to do. So, gather with your family and friends, reach out to your neighbors, and invite them all to join you for this 2021 Virtual Camp Meeting. Thank you in advance for your and support, and I hope this virtual experience will be a blessing to you and exceed your expectations. Sincerely,

Bishop James E. McKnight, Jr. Presiding Bishop

HOW TO STREAM TO YOUR TV

HOW TO CONNECT YOUR TV TO THE INTERNET USING MIRRORING • Open the mirroring option on your TV – set your TV to mirror; (it will then await the mirroring connection.)

• Open the mirroring feature/launch your mirroring app on your Android device – click start (please note – both your TV and device must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.)

• If your TV doesn’t natively support mirroring, you’ll need an app such as Chromecast or screencast.

HOW TO CONNECT YOUR TV WITH AN INTERNET STREAMING DEVICE

What you’ll need: Media box/streaming player; Broadband connection (2 MBPS and above); Wi-Fi router; Ethernet cable, HDMI cable or VGA (Video Graphics Array)/Audio cable

Media boxes/streaming devices have built-in preprogrammed apps and channels (such as the BBC iPlayer, HULU, ITV Player, Netflix and so on). This will allow the device to act as a Freeview box which hooks up to your Wi-Fi. The exact step-by-step will differ from device to device (so make sure you read the instructions – or hit YouTube for a visual walkthrough). However, all of them will involve plugging the device directly into the TV using either the USB port or HDMI port. Some of the most popular streaming players include Roku, Apple TV 4K, Chromecast, and Nvidia TV Shield.

HOW TO CONNECT YOUR TV TO THE INTERNET USING A PC/LAPTOP

• Place your laptop/PC close to your TV. Make sure both are turned off.

• Insert the HDMI cable into your computer (the socket will be labelled ‘HDMI’.)

• Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into the TV (this will be hidden under a flap.)

• Turn your TV on. Use the AV button to select AV.

• Turn your PC on – at this point you may just need to confirm a couple of changes on your PC.

These instructions were drawn from the article Top 5 Ways to Enable Internet Connection to TV (Without Built-in Wi-Fi), March 23, 2019, by Lisa Hayden. https://thewiredshopper.com/top-5-ways-to- enable-internet-connection-to-tv-without-built-in-wifi/

She accepted the privilege of preaching her initial sermon at the age of 18. Through preaching, Yoli found the boldness to speak and motivate people in various settings and environments. At the age of 20, she made her first of many trips overseas. Her travel expanded to places such as , Canada, London, Spain, , Australia, Austria, Portugal, Brazil, Africa, Ireland, , New Zealand, Chile, Amsterdam, Jamaica, and with different artists. While on the road with a recording artist, Yoli made the decision to come home to find what this longing was all about. It was her calling. As Yoli fully rededicated her gift back to God, she's preached, sang and spread the gospel of Christ nonstop and hasn't turned back. Yoli is now the worship leader at New Life Fellowship Center under the leadership of Pastor John P. Kee and travels with the New Life Singers. If her movement could be defined with a few words, it would be “No Fear, Only God.”

ABOUT JONATHAN BUTLER Jonathan Butler is a singer-songwriter and guitarist who leads a life few can imagine. Born in South Africa under the shadow of apartheid and raised in poverty, Butler was the first non-white artist to be played on South African radio and appear on national television. Though his musical abilities would take him away from the world he grew up in, Jonathan would neither forget the plight of his fellow South Africans, nor the man that led them to freedom. It is for this reason Nelson Mandela credits Butler’s music as having inspired him during his imprisonment.

Jonathan’s story begins at a very young age when his father presented him with a homemade one-string guitar. On occasion he would perform at lavish concert halls for whites only, where he would not be allowed to use the bathroom, and the very next night he would perform in a dilapidated local township. Jonathan’s first single broke down racial barriers becoming the first song by a black artist played by white radio stations in South Africa and won the South African equivalent to a Grammy®.

His commitment to his craft came to fruition with his - self titled debut album, which received a Grammy® nomination for the pop hit “Lies.” A religious and spiritual man, Butler dedicates his life to being a devoted father and grandfather, and a caring citizen to his homeland. In spite of all the hardships, Jonathan Butler has an air of playfulness and quiet resilience that is easily visible in his passionate performances.
