GAME PREVIEW: CANUCKS VS SABRES The Canucks play the third of a four-game homestand with a matchup against the Buffalo Sabres. Desjardins served as Head Coach of Texas for two seasons compiling a 91-40-21 (.667) regular season record in 152 AHL games and led the Stars to a Championship in 2014. He was awarded the Louis A. R. Bylsma joined the Sabres after spending six seasons as the head coach of the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he led the team to a 252-117-32 overall regular-season record and became the winningest head coach in Penguins history. He began the 2015-16 season with the best points percentage (.668) of any head coach in NHL history with at least three full seasons coached.

The Grand Haven, Michigan native began his coaching career in 2004-05 as an assistant coach for the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks (AHL).
