To go along with the stunt group, Union added a third-runner up fi nish in the small coed col- legiate division. The Top-2 groups were from NCAA Division I programs. Charleston South- ern (S.C.) University was the champion while FOOTBALL Tennessee Tech University was fi rst-runner up. Between Union and Tennessee Tech was Indiana Tech University while Iowa Central Community College and the University of North Carolina at Pembroke were fi fth and sixth, respectively. The trip to nationals was the fi rst for the Union program under the direction of fi rst-year head coach Heather Wilson.
