Updated April 30, 2018 Welcome to Florida Football NFL Draft Picks The NFL produced 22 new members of Florida’s three teams and 19 players from Florida colleges were drafted. The Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Dolphins each drafted seven new players and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted eight after making first round trades to end up with three second round picks, between the 38th and 63rd overall picks. The New England Patriots selected three players from Florida. The Miami Dolphins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers begin their pre-season games with an August 9 meeting at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. The Jacksonville Jaguars host the New Orleans Saints at EverBank Field on August 9. Week One of the NFL season is the weekend of November 9.
