Survey Response: 1. Do you agree with the overall vision that the Draft Plan sets out for District? Strongly disagree Please explain your choice in Question 1: These plans for will decimate this historical town. As for the Road proposed development we can't understand why the historical Parish of Greensted is sited for proposed development for the following reasons: 1. Parish of the oldest wooden church in the world. How long will it take until we have takeaways next to the church? 2. This parish needs to be preserved for generations to come. 3. Fairfield Road supports approx. 180 homes, it can't take another 160. 4. Greensted Road has no clear point of entry for this development, this would be an accident waiting to happen. 5. We as land owners were NEVER asked if we wanted houses built in our gardens!

2. Do you agree with the overall vision that the Draft Plan sets out for ? Strongly disagree Please explain your choice in Question 2: SR-3090 Greensted Road development is Green Belt. Other main highways need to be developed i.e. between Harlow and North weald. If Ongar has to have a percentage of houses it needs to be where the infrastructure is. One of the main reasons for us all to live in Ongar is the village appeal. Developments need to be where industrial development is.

3. Do you agree with the proposals for development around Harlow? Disagree Please explain your choice in Question 3: We totally disagree. There is plenty of brownfield sites around Harlow and infrastructure in place for access to M11/M25 + Stansted thus reducing the infrastructure costs. There is no need to look further afield to areas like Chipping Ongar and Greensted.

4. Do you agree with the proposed shopping area in… Epping? ? Broadway? Chipping Ongar? No Loughton High Road? ? Please explain your choice in Question 4: We are not in agreement with this proposal. Ongar is a small village / town. It CANNOT cope with any more shops. Added to this they will not survive with the likes of Harlow, , Lakeside and Bluewater. The primary school will not cope with the proposed 600+ houses. Car parking is an issue in the town, Where will all the cars park??? Ongar town centre is very historical, very traditional and has character. THIS NEEDS TO BE KEPT FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS!

5. Do you agree with the proposals for new employment development? No opinion Please explain your choice in Question 5: This is down to you. If you are going develop existing employment sites along the M11/M25 corridor this is using the infrastructure in place. Can't really comment on "together with the allocation of new sites". WHERE??? Not enough information.

6. Do you agree with the proposed sites in your area? Epping (Draft Policy P 1): Please provide reasons for your view on Epping: Loughton (Draft Policy P 2) Please provide reasons for your view on Loughton: Waltham Abbey (Draft Policy P 3) Please provide reasons for your view on Waltham Abbey: Chipping Ongar (Draft Policy P 4) No Please provide reasons for your view on Chipping Ongar: We are NOT in agreement with this proposal. The infrastructure will not cope with the additional traffic. The bottom of Ongar "The Borough" will grind to a halt! The country road around SR-0390 "Greensted Road Development" will end up like a "rat run". This will create major safety issues by the primary school. Development in Chipping Ongar will leave schools unable to cope and the health Centre (at present is difficult to get appointments). As residents of ….Redacted…. development' we purchased some land back in 2012 to try and preserve some of the Greensted Parish. We understand that ALL land owners were asked about their land. As the FFRA (Fairfield and Fairbank Residents Association) - 16 members - why were none of us asked?? You have identified sites in Ongar, most are unsuitable due to infrastructure (lack of roads, schools, healthcare). Not to mention the decline of historical sites. Additional pollution to the wooden structure of . Damage to Green Belt land. Increased crime due to no police station. You say the sites are available?? we were told at the exhibition that the land owners were contacted by the EDFC. As already stated NONE of the FFRA members (16 in total) WERE EVER CONTACTED! Your council representatives said they had contacted the Land Registry?? We have contacted the Land registry and they have confirmed that they have 16 land owners for part of this development. Please remove our plots of land from this development. Buckhurst Hill (Draft Policy P 5) Please provide reasons for your view on Buckhurst Hill: (Draft Policy P 6) Please provide reasons for your view on North Weald Bassett: (Draft Policy P 7) Please provide reasons for your view on North Weald Bassett: (Draft Policy P 8) Please provide reasons for your view on Theydon Bois: Roydon (Draft Policy P 9) Please provide reasons for your view on Roydon: (Draft Policy P 10) Please provide reasons for your view on Nazeing: Thornwood (Draft Policy P 11) Please provide reasons for your view on Thornwood: , Fyfield, , Lower , Moreton, Sewardstonbury, Sheering, Stapleford Abbots (Draft Policy P 12)

Please provide reasons for your view on Coopersale, Fyfield, High Ongar, , Moreton, Sewardstonbury, Sheering, Stapleford Abbots:

7. Do you agree with the approach to infrastructure provision being proposed in the plan? Strongly disagree Please explain your choice in Question 7: There is NO plans and infrastructure in these plans. What's happening with the Ongar-Epping railway? Two of our members couldn't get their children into Chipping Ongar Primary School this year. How is the school going to cope with an additional 600 houses? We asked about by-passes around Ongar (this has been on the cards for years!). We were told that County Council couldn't afford it. WHAT A MESS!

8. An Interim Sustainability Appraisal has been commissioned to support the Draft Local Plan. We would welcome any comments you may have on this. As above - WHAT A MESS! Another layer of bureaucracy. Does this mean we (FFRA members) will now be asked if we want our land built on?

9. Do you wish to comment on any other policies in the Draft Local Plan? As members of the FFRA (16 in total) our members who attended the exhibition were told by council members (EFDC) if a land owner says no to development, plans will be amended. Please take this as written confirmation that as we own part of the "Greensted Road" development. We do NOT want our land built on. (See attached group response form)
