He’s also on pace to break the program record for lowest GAA and best save percentage in a single season. With the spilt, Bentley went 2-1-1 against Mercyhurst this year, which is only the second time the program has posted a winning record against the Lakers in the season series. Junior Andrew Loewen started both games in goal for Canisius, recording 55 saves during the weekend. Loewen now has 2,047 saves during his career, becoming the fourth Griff and the second in the program’s Division I history to record 2,000 career saves. They fell behind for 2:36 during the fi rst period when AIC scored two goals in a ma er of 45 seconds. During the game, fi ve Huskies recorded two or more points and goaltender Beau Erickson eclipsed the 2,300 mark for career saves made.
