We are attaching a page from The Henry Ford’s own website that outlines some of your options. https://www.thehenryford.org/ The Detroit Experience will be hosted by an experienced Detroit tour guide and will include as many Detroit highlights as time permits. This tour is limited to 26 people. Not interested in any of these organized tours? Here are some other options. If you want to go shopping, try Southland Center http://www.shopsouthlandcenter.com/ shopping mall in Taylor http://www.shopsouthlandcenter.com/ or Laurel Park Place http://www.laurelparkplace.com/ mall in Livonia http://www.laurelparkplace.com/. If casinos are your thing, there are three in Detroit--Greektown Casino https://www.greektowncasino.com/, MGM Grand Casino http://www.mgmgranddetroit.com/ and Motor City Casino https://www.motorcitycasino.com/Gaming.aspx. Just across the Detroit River in Canada is the Caesar’s Windsor Casino; bring your passport for entry into Canada. Visit the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) and see why so many people and organizations fought so hard to save its treasures during the city of Detroit’s Chapter 9 bankruptcy case. http://www.dia.org/ For a very special art experience, head to Ann Arbor, home of the University of Michigan, for the 47th annual Ann Arbor Art Fair (actually four art fairs in one). This is one of the largest and most prestigious juried art fairs in the United States. For detailed information, go to http://artfairs.visitannarbor.org/generalinfo/. This year’s art fair dates are Thursday, July 21-Sunday, July 24. In previous years, the art fair has always ended on Saturday. • COVID-19 Response – Updated 6/3/20 on June 4Th, Von Maur Will Have 100% of Our Stores Open in the Communities That We Serve
COVID-19 Response – Updated 6/3/20 On June 4th, Von Maur will have 100% of our stores open in the communities that we serve. I am grateful for the response we have received from customers and appreciate your ongoing support of Von Maur. Together, we are upholding the practices that we know will help to ensure the safety of everyone in our communities. Just as we had to weigh the decision to open, individuals have to weigh their personal decision to visit our stores. Your patience has been instrumental as we adapt to our changed shopping environment. Social distancing, limited occupancy and hours, and altered high touch services like makeovers and lingerie fittings have all contributed to the safety measures taken for both employees and customers. I’m sure in the coming months, more changes will be made to support the new way we must do business. However, our commitment to customer service will remain steadfast. No matter how long before you feel comfortable to shop with Von Maur again, be confident in knowing that we will be right here, in your community, waiting to greet you with a smile.
