There is still to act — well, make art and apply. Organizers of The Other New York: 2012, a successor to the Everson Museum of Art’s Biennial, have given artists more time to submit applications. The new deadline is July 14 replacing the original June 30 date because of increased interest.

Upstate artists — anyone outside of the New York City metropolitan area — are invited to submit an applications at the Everson website.

At the same time, two more arts organizations have joined in the communitywide exhibition. Onondaga Historical Association and XL Projects will now become a partner and venue site. Now, 14 sites will exhibit original works.
