Production Team Chris Crawford (Scenic and Lighting Designer) Chris holds a BA from LaGrange College in Theatre Arts with a Design Emphasis and a MFA from Indiana Universi- ty in Lighting Design and Theatre Technology. He currently serves as the Chair of Theatre Young Harris, and would like to thank our audience and especially our Friends of the Arts for their support of our program and our students! Shelley Gordon (Choreographer) Shelley was trained in all forms of dance at the Dolores Werner Performing Arts Studio as well as at Oklahoma City University with additional early childhood education studies at Georgia State University. With teaching, performing, and choreography as her passions, she joined the YHC theatre staff in 2011. Shelley teaches upper-level dance classes and has contributed her choreographic talents to several of Theatre Young Harris’ productions in the past two years. She also runs her own studio - Star Dance Performing Arts - in Hayesville, NC. He has served as the director or music director for more than 30 productions at Young Harris Col- The Theory of Relativity lege including Chicago, Carousel, Guys and Dolls (twice), The Music Man, Fiddler on the Roof, Oklahoma (twice), Pippin, Mikado and Pirates of Penzance, just to Music and Lyrics by Neil Bartram name a few. Mr. Bauman holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Music Education and Book by Brian Hill Music Performance from Spring Arbor University and Master of Music degrees in “The Theory of Relativity was developed at the Choral Conducting Performance and Vocal Performance from Bowling Green Canadian Music Theatre Project, State University. A former NATS winner, Jeff has performed leading roles with Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.” Opera South Carolina, Atlanta Lyric Theater, Toledo Opera, Asheville Lyric Opera, and Opera Lenawee. Mr. Bauman remains active as both a singer and director, Director performing with the Orpheus men’s choir, and listing his favorite roles as Emile DeBecque in South Pacific, and the title role in Sweeny Todd. In addition to his David Weber YHC responsibilities, Mr. Bauman is the Director of Music at the First United Methodist Church of Union County. Musical Director Mr. Jeff Bauman Ansley Phenix (Stage Manager) Ansley Phenix is so excited to make her stage manager debut for The Theory of Relativity. She is a sophomore theatrical design and production major. She is an active member of her sorority Sigma Beta Sigma Costume Design Choreography as well as a member of the theater national honor society, Alpha Psi Omega. She has greatly enjoyed working with the students on their sewing as well as designing skills with her first show being Mary Had A Technical Director Stage Manager Little Ham.
